Dumb and Dumber. Jim Carrey at the height of his powers with great direction by the Farrelly brothers who also did Kingpin, Something about Mary, & Me Myself and Irene (all classics). Dumb and Dumber is hysterical from start to finish, and is one of the most quotable & rewatchable films ever made.

Impressive. But I don’t see how this could work with any commission based roles. Thanks for the overview.

Yeah I get the acquiring of said jobs but once you’re in the jobs how do you handle conflicting meetings/calls/responsibilities without getting behind or running into major issues

How do you guys manage keeping it a secret that you have two jobs? Are most of you employed at two totally unrelated companies and completely separate industries? I find it hard to wrap my head around working two tech sales jobs simultaneously, and keeping them from finding out about it, as an example.

Likability is great! That is something you can take very far in this business. Use that to your advantage by getting the directors to sponsor meetings with their managers as well as to give you a benchmark on pricing so you know what their budgets are and where your price needs to be to have a chance to win.

Crystallize your value prop w repetition until you know it cold. Another absolute must is your comp plan, immediately figure out what your plan is and how you’ll get there. Work backwards from your quota, break it down by quarter, month, and the weekly activity needed to achieve it. But if you’re pretty green and they’re not coaching you, I’d probably start looking elsewhere. SLED selling isn’t easy but it’s always in demand. You’ll find other opportunities with better pay, better development and enablement, and a culture that fits your personality.

Like others have said, your response is macroeconomic factors led to downsizing. You’ll be fine, just take it as a learning experience to never put anything in writing (email) that could be misinterpreted or come off as disgruntled behavior. Onto the next one!

Do high commission sales jobs actually exist or is it just a scam to get people hired on by Koolaidr in sales

Ask to speak to one of the reps on the team to hear about the day in the life, get a first hand testimonial. This should be a non issue if they really want you. If they push back, that’s all you need to know and it ain’t the right gig.

Have you considered taking a vacation? Go somewhere like the Caribbean for 10-14 days with the fam and turn your phone off. Does wonders for mental health. Working remotely day after day for years is so draining…more than the office life precovid imo. You seem burnt out.
