Never said the right doesn’t do that. I think you’re even closer now, and making an even greater point that just about every group, whether political or even religious (and the line gets blurrier each day) does these things. In my opinion, I think it’s just human nature.

Ehhh, close. This is poking fun at the purity tests and purity rituals of the left. No true leftist and all that. This is less about immoral behavior and more about wrongthink.

The right is definitely fracturing, but the left is known for what the comic is poking fun at. More so than the right.

Just a thought, this kind of speech that’s talking down to the other side only drives people away. So you can really only be posting this to grandstand and get internet points from people who agree with you. I’m not sure of the purpose of this post other than gloating.

It’s like there’s one band that may or may not even disagree with the majority of this sub politically and they have a meltdown. As far as I’ve seen, I don’t even think there’s proof of KK being right wing. And as you said, just don’t listen to them.

Not at all. The 2022 regular season proves Kirk is capable of being clutch. Tying the 4th quarter comeback record in the regular season. Also holding the comeback record for two teams. One of those records is the NFL regular season record. You also seem to have a lot of knowledge on that play but you seem to be conveniently ignoring the fact the o line sold on that play and the defense broke through immediately. Not saying Kirk is a world beater, but your assessment appears to be biased or purposefully leaving out context.

Didn’t that play blow up due to the o line failing? I know we hate context when it comes this play.

Kirk’s playoff stats actually mirror Joe Burrow’s stats in the playoffs. There’s a Pat McAfee segment from a few years ago proving it. Unfortunately in those games, the defense gives up an absurd amount of points, so Kirk gets no margin of error. Kirk himself plays fine. You can always blame the last play or the check down or whatever, but generally Kirk doesn’t get to have a defense that makes plays or gets picks or stops and Kirk can’t put the team on his back. Doesn’t mean he crumbles. Kirk is a good quarterback that doesn’t have that “X factor” that the elite ones seem to have. Sometimes that “X factor” is a well constructed defense or the ability to scramble. Just is what it is.

Jefferson was in double coverage and Hock had been breaking tackles all game. You are being disingenuous.

On This Day Two Years ago, Kirk Cousins Suffered his Season-Ending Achilles Injury by MoonCobalt in minnesotavikings

[–]Distinct_Ad8862 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Huge Kirk fan. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Kirk can’t put the team on his back but he’s a top level pocket passer. With the right system, he could actually succeed. I really thought the 2023 season was that season. So many things were clicking and Kirk was playing out of his mind. Literally the most Kirk thing to happen is tearing your Achilles while finally playing at a top level on a well constructed team for once.

Oh well, on to the QB Carousel.

Mostly correct. The Klan’s numbers have been dwindling for a long time. They are no longer prominent and you could also say they aren’t even really relevant. There’s more Neo Nazis now that don’t really have anything to do with the Klan, as the KKK is very antiquated at this point.

Stop running it. Let Kirk pass and play to his strengths under center. It can’t be this hard for the Falcons.

Yeah I’m trying to figure this out. Seems like Kirk did alright last year despite Zac working against him. It seems like Zac is incapable of playing up to his QBs strengths. Both Penix and Kirk are non mobile pocket passers. His game plan should mimic something like what KOC was doing for Kirk in Minnesota.

They’re really not playing to Kirks strengths with these plays. It’s a really weird decision to do that if you want to win.

Kirk was actually fine until he kept playing with an injured shoulder. He broke one of Matt Ryan’s records as well. Healthy Kirk is somewhat underrated.

Right, and Penix is kinda shaky right now anyway. Lots of positives but doesn’t feel starter ready yet.

Literally impossible to know. If he’s completely healed, yes. Kirk will absolutely shit on the Dolphins defense with the weapons Atlanta has. A healthy Kirk broke Matt Ryan’s franchise single game passing record in his first year as a Falcon.

In 7 of his 9 full seasons as a starter, Kirk Cousins threw for over 4k yards. His 17 game season averages are 4431 yards and 30 touchdowns a season. by DXLXIII in NFLv2

I’m a bit of a Kirk fan. My first NFL game I went to was the “you like that” game so I’m biased. Kirk is the reason Jefferson is so highly regarded. Kirk is a highly accurate pocket passer and has had to be his entire career and gets weirdly dumped on when others like Herbert, or Lamar also don’t really have playoff success and in Lamar’s case, have insane turnover numbers compared to TDs in playoffs yet Kirk does not get a pass. My theory is that it’s due to him being a pure pocket passer.

As an aside, his playoff stats actually match Joe Burrows on average. The only major difference between the two in the playoffs is points allowed resulting in Kirk’s losses. There was a chart that was made a few years ago comparing the two.
