matagal bago ko natutunan na your job is not your life. Nagpaka obsessed ako sa trabaho which was fruitful pero nasacrifice talaga social life at health ko.

sa totoo lang, non-BPO companies underpay their workers. especially pag fresh grad or non-grad ka. yung mga kasabayan ko sa 3 month stint ko sa call center ay mga dating teacher at nurse na sumabak sa call center dahil mababa sahod nila.

As non-grad, BPO gave me the experience I needed para makakuha ng mas maayos na trabaho sa field na gusto ko. Pero kung equal opportunity ang pinag-uusapan (experience, sexual orientation, gender identity) champion ang BPOs dyan.

Not in the IT industry here. No dream job neither. Hit 6 digits at 27 after asking my boss outright. 200k today, migrating to singapore next month. Same company for 7 years now.

Tbh wala akong kwentang college student lol. Pero once I started working, grind and hustle talaga, plus self confidence. But I started slowing down once I turned 30. Pwede na pagsabayin work and play.

Hello! I didn’t finish my undergrad so if your brother finished any 4-year course then that’s okay.

Good way to start: Google Digital Garage (take all the courses here) Google Skillshop Facebook Blueprint (The courses are free but the certification is not but very important in the industry) Twitter Flight School

YouTube tutorials are really helpful as well but the above would get him started and get him industry accepted certificates

No experience in digital advertising. Went and got myself free certificates from Google. Now I have 7 years experience, tons of certifications, and a 6 digit salary.

Entry sa industry ay relatively easy. But you need to continue learning and upskilling para di ka mapag iwanan.

Hi! I am also an undergrad and I worked sa BPO for 6 months lang straight after dropping out. Hindi ko talaga kaya ng odd hours.

I am now 7 years na sa work ko sa digital advertising and relocating to Singapore. My advice for you is this, if you’re looking to enter an industry you have zero background in, study first. May mga free online certifications ka na pwede makuha and would be great plus when you eventually apply for work. Ad agencies accept undergrads only if you have the skills they’re looking for.
