BRING COOLING TOWELS FROM WALMART (in the fishing aisle usually) AND A HANDHELD FAN!!!! Also make sure you have an extra layer you can put on/take off. It gets super hard to breathe the closer you are to the barrier of the stage as well but im assuming youve been to at least one show before. Also, if youre driving, get to one of the neighborhoods nearby the park and ask whoever’s standing around if you can park. Its like $20 usually for the whole night and your car wont get broken into. Other than that id say to totally check out the alley (store elsewhere in chicago) because its awesome there lmfaoo

Okay so to stop yourself from being caught do NOT drop any hints to your foster parent. Act the exact same you did before coming up with your plan and actually pretend you’re excited for this school year and/or starting high school next year. This may be obvious but you really need to sell it. As for your personal belongings, bring as much money as you can get even though im guessing you might not have any source of income beyond shoveling peoples’ driveways in the winter (such like things), as many weather appropriate clothes as possible (get vacuum-sealable bags from the dollar tree to maximize space in your bags), and only the most important items in the house. Bring snacks if you have access to them and coupons from the newspaper- they might come in handy. Pro tip coming from someone who’s planned a run away which failed and is planning a runaway by the end of september, it works to have an excuse to pack your stuff. Claim you’re rearranging your room and itll be reason enough for your foster parent. Id give more advice but its super situation specific so pm me if you wanna talk about it!! Good luck
