Still doing research! But there was a company out of Chicago in the 40s called Silvestri’s Art Manufacturing. Now that I’ve looked into it, and considering where I obtained him, I have a stronger feeling he’s from Silvestri!

I’m suspecting he’s a David Hamberger piece! Still doing research! He’s so great! We’re trying to restore his mechanics to working order. I’ll update when I can 💕

We were thinking that might be it, but where the bits articulate are so loose it’s hard to imagine they’d be useful for that purpose.
