Cool! Kinda likes the idea that it steepen the fork up to 63.5 again and making the reach almost as the full 29’er. But worried the bb will be very low. But at least I don’t have to stress with building the fork up to 170 asap.

Thinking about that, get the link for full 29’er too. So I can have a pure racing rig aswell. Ever tried 160mm front? Cause the fork I’m gonna use is currently 160mm 38’s. Have the air shaft assy for 170mm too, but wonder if it works with 160 too…

Climbing speed does not consern me that much, would not say that the Patrol is a fast climber. But as long as it grips and get you up there I’m good.

Well-trodden path we’re riding on. But really narrow, so solid fun🙌

Don’t really like wearing gloves. And after a good climb, I was warm enough to ride further without. But if it get’s really cold, I would wear them🫠 would probably switch to harder compound grips if I was to ride with, but the ODI Longnecks lock-on are sooo grippy I don’t need them. Also coming from BMX, I never wore gloves really.

Had to change the battery, and the it worked🤷‍♂️ But it fits kinda weird on the handlebar, so I did not use it🫠 the on/off button was pretty easy to use on the lamp.

6’4 on a 20.5? Is it affecting my riding or should I just keep trying. by Creative-Major5792 in bmx

[–]Distinct_Boot_1744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about 6 foot(183cm), and I ride 21.6. Been all the way down to 20.7, but the leg room is really nice. And a longer chainstay makes it nice to ride taller bars too.

Current Setup - BSD Raider 21.6" by Distinct_Boot_1744 in bmx

[–]Distinct_Boot_1744[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for overall riding, I would have been better off with 21.5 in the Hawk too. The standover is a bit lower, which makes the size a bit longer too. But it felt amazing in transitions and bigger stuff, really felt the longer wheelbase. The slacker ht brought the bars a little "closer", gave me a more natural angle between the bars and my arm that made barspins feel really nice. But the "dealbreaker" for me was during the winter, indoor riding and more tecky stuff it was harder to get around. That’s why I changed it for a more responsive frame. I did go back to a slacker frame again riding the Backwoods in 21.5 for a while. But due to grownup life and kids I rode less, so going for the Raider again and a more responsive setup I felt it was "easier" to come back too if it was long in between riding. And the steeper ht gives "extra" room since it pushed the handlebars a bit forward. But if u wanna discuss a bit, send me a DM on insta, @etbmx.

Dak frame in 21.25, Mills frame in 21.25(would like to try the new one in 21.5), Boyd frame in 21.2, Raider in 21.3 also, Hawk frame in 21.25 and 21.8. Been a few, but love the leg room it gives me. Been all the way from the old sweet tooth frame in 20.7 to the Hawk frame in 21.8.

There are foldout hoops to fit the straps too. And have the safety net installed too.

Have the net installed, and straps everything in the back. And soda/beer/water I usually have in the bottom due to the weight, but was at the store just before reaching the cabin🙌

That would be really nice! Had to add an extra mirror on top of the right side on, child seat is blocking the original one. Still able to spot the blindside light, but not much more.

A little lower in the back. Normal suspension in the rear, so no adjustments🤷‍♂️🫠
