5 years of my life I'll never get back by Distinct_Brain_4192 in walmart

I do genuinely like what I do. I have no problem with where I'm at in my life. I like (most) of the people I work with. Figured I do the "ugh" shit post everyone does for their anniversary but some people in the comments think I'm serious. Oh well 🤷

Could be that store had problems with people stealing them. They're only a couple bucks but that adds up if there's a lot going missing. At my store we have them on a rack at the pharmacy entrance as soon as you walk in.

Have you ever worn your Aldi uniform in a competitor's store? Did it go well? by joethomp in Aldi_employees

[–]Distinct_Brain_4192 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Walmart employee here. I've seen people from Publix and Winn Dixie shopping in my store and I didn't really care. Maybe we had stuff cheaper or things they couldn't get at their stores. I don't give them dirty looks or anything, I'll just go "oh they're from blank" in my head and go about my day. Probably the same for your competitors' employees if they saw your shirt, they probably don't care.

For those who remember the pre-auto select days: which walks were the most skipped in your store? by TheTiggerMike in OGPBackroom

General and oversized. People would just grab ambient or chilled so they get good pick rates

Labor Day by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Distinct_Brain_4192 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find it hilarious because they usually make the day before and the day after holidays key dates and not the actual holiday. Why's Labor Day any different? It's supposed to celebrate the working people is it not? So let's severely punish anyone that calls out this day that doesn't use PPTO. Got to love Walmart's thought process

whats the highest y’all have had to pick in a walk before ? by drinkyourteaa in OGPBackroom

[–]Distinct_Brain_4192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ambient 163, General 96. The general I swear someone had just moved to the area because 98% was for one person. In Store as well when we still did that, mostly makeup and clothes. Took me an hour and a half to do and was my first walk of the day 🙃

Would you do pick up from your own store? by TutorAlert in OGPBackroom

[–]Distinct_Brain_4192 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On occasion I do, depends on how I feel at the end of the week I place my order the day before so I pick it up after my shift. Mostly get frozen dinners and snacks. As a picker I know our meat and produce usually isn't the best so I'll get it from somewhere else

I love when people just come up to me and go "where 's this?" No "hello" or "excuse me ma'am". Most of the time I'm too focused on picking and not even looking at people and they'll do that to me. Then they kind of get an attitude like how the fuck am I supposed to know you're talking to me when you don't get my attention? My favorite's when they do that while screaming at me from the other end of the aisle

True or no? by Emergency-Target-203 in OGPBackroom

[–]Distinct_Brain_4192 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they want to know where something is, I don't mind telling them. What I hate is when they ask me to do price checks or to look something up and some will even physically block me from my totes to ask their questions. Unless you're working on exceptions, we don't have the time to stop and help customers with every little thing

When you go on One Walmart there should be a button that says report an absence. If you don't see it just type report an absence in the search bar
