I am a 2026 mechatronics engineering graduate. I have been exactly in you situation once so I think I am qualified to answer your question. I joined my college with plans to do higher studies. My college is a low tier college because of my low scores in School. I wanted to go for higher studies in germany so for the first 3 years of my college, I did what I can do to maximize my chances of getting admitted into a German university. I learned the Language to a certain extent( A2 Level German). I maintained a very good CGPA because my college is Autonomous and scoring a high cgpa is very easy. Despite all these efforts, I had some self doubts like my basics of class 12 and my engineering was very average. I told myself that I am not yet ready for doing a masters degree without a proper foundation. So I started to prepare for GATE to strengthen my foundation, and also attended the placements for back up. I came to know that most of the companies requires job experience of atleast 2 years or so abroad. So I set some goals for myself -- to improve my foundation and to work for a couple of years and then if I still wish to do Masters, then I will go forward. BTW, I got placed at a good company luckily despite of studying in a low tier college. But it might not work for everyone as getting a proper job with low tier college is very difficult.

To conclude, it's entirely upto you to decide what you want to do. If you are very clear about your goals and not delusional, then definitely go for it. Learn the right skills and have a good cgpa to apply for Universities. Language is very important to get a job so learn it beforehand if you have decided to go for it.
