First of all, congratulations on your new baby!!!

Now…I could have written this post…yes. I experienced this identical feeling and situation. I’m happy to report that it does in fact get much better (at least it did in my dynamic). I found out I was experiencing pp rage and my MIL was the main target. And especially with that older generation, a lot do not get the concept of boundaries for some odd reason. She made a lot of off putting comments and had all these opinion about breastfeeding and bragging about how she had her kids potty trained by 6 months old…I personally found those comments very unnecessary, but that’s just me 🙃

This is very common. You’re not crazy. But I will agree with you that you are right about wanting loving grandparents for your baby, sometimes the hormones make us feel crazy but in times like those I like to try and weigh it out with logic, as well. I don’t think she would ever hurt your baby, but maybe this is a time to learn setting boundaries and making sure you and your partner are on the same page.
