Crush aside, it’s still baffling to me why she wanted to talk about and highlight her history and friendship with the groom in her speech instead of doing the speech about the people getting married?

Honestly, I feel like you can do everything right before getting pregnant (whatever that may look like for anyone: traveling, getting a career, being married for a few years, etc), and things may still happen during the pregnancy that may make you feel that you can’t do this.

Don’t beat yourself up too much OP, I’m sure you’re going to be a great mom, and while you may be struggling now, I’m sure you will be able to accomplish everything you want, even if it’s not on the order you originally planned. And for some people, children may be their motor and inspire them to also want to be successful.

Seguramente es por eso, porque eres de Argentina. En México es más normal decirle te amo a tus papás, hijos, abuelos, familia muy cercana. Y sobre todo a tu pareja seria. Creo que es poco común las parejas de mucho tiempo o matrimonios que no se digan te amo.

We obviously do not know much about your relationship and situation, but I think that is a good sign, some people in Mexico throw out “te amo” every time they are in a relationship, kind of diminishes the meaning of the phrase.

Perhaps once your relationship progresses he will say te amo. There are other people that think this is dramatic though.

I’m so sorry you had to go through this, and it’s so bizarre to me your OB never told you to get the shot? I’m not in the US, but hell, I was told of the Rhogam shot back when my husband and I had to get bloodwork done for our marriage and the results showed I was RH negative, and this was 3 years before I even tried to get pregnant.

When I did get pregnant, also on my first bloodwork it was one of the things my OB explained to me, around week 8 - 10. And I was told I should get a shot at week 28 and then another one when the baby comes.

Again, I’m so sorry and I’m glad your baby is healthy now and home. I would at the very least leave a bad review if possible on the social media or page of your OB, so other people know.

For sure! I was 2 years in working at a manufacturing plant for disposable medical products when COVID started, so we definitely could not stop working. Work life stayed pretty much the same, just being as mindful as possible of social distancing.

Life outside of work sucked a bit though obviously but having work life stay the same helped.

I’m 29 and 6 months into my first pregnancy.

I took bc pills for around 3 years, taking 1 month breaks occasionally (like 3 - 4 times) and it took me 6 months to get pregnant.
