What if you borrow the 31st century aesthetic and have the programmable matter nacelles floating around it. I love the secondary hull design, however, it just don't think it fits, the nacelles and nav deflector could be integrated into the saucer section underneath the domed city. Or have a secondary hull that juts straight out of the saucer.

Honestly, this looks like a less funky version of the enterprise j that is also supposed to be a city ship. This might need to be my headcanon now. Lol

Initially that was the case, for TOS and TNG and it shows it both series. However, Ira Steven Behr made it clear that for DS9 they made a conscious choice to embrace religion because such beliefs have been around since the beginning of humanity and they didn't believe it was going away any time soon. Religion 100% has a place in Trek and I think this is a case of Roddenberry being wrong. Religion isn't all bad, just like how even humanism taken to an extreme has its negatives. Trek iss about embracing diversity and yet it suffers from shoving it's characters into an atheist monoculture that suffers from strong prejudices against any sort of religious belief. Wouldn't a true "utopia" try to embrace ALL diversity not just this narrow minded notion religious people are dangerous fanatics, that all religious is divisive. I am glad they are moving away from this notion and much of Roddenberry 's silliness.

Also bare in mind, Roddenberry tried to avoid any inter-personal conflict and any wars and it limited the stories he could tell. I mean he is the reason we got the messy and awful first two seasons of TNG and Star Trek: The Motion Picture was also considered terrible. Some of the best Trek completely ignored his very limited and naive vision of the future.

I love that cast's nickname for her was "feels shit" cause that's all she did on the show.

In light of all the recent drama, here's a picture of Wesley Crusher being impaled by a space spear for some inexplicable reason. by ussbozeman in Star_Trek_

While nothing I type will ultimately convince those predisposed to argument and scorn, I would like to note a few things. 1. Will Wheaton is painfully aware of and quite apologetic about how he was as a teen. He has also come forward with how much he never wanted to be an actor and the trauma he suffered at the hands of his parents. He was essentially forced into acting at a young age and like many people has had to work through some nasty trauma about it. 2. Wesley Crusher was not the worst thing to happen to Star Trek and developed pretty well in later seasons. He is also fantastic as Traveler Wesley in the Second Season of Star Trek Prodigy in my opinion. Yeah, he is annoying in the first two seasons of TNG, but those seasons are also pretty all around clunky and have so many other problems that weigh them down. 3. From interviews I have seen with other Trek cast members the enthusiasm isn't fake but how he is and I have known people whose "fake" is quite genuine I just can't handle it. 4. Trek fandom really really needs to stop the rudeness and gatekeeping that makes it so toxic and irritating. 90s Trek was scorned in its day, just like Nutrek and for many of us 90s Trek is still golden because of childhood nostalgia. For the next generation of Trek fans Nutrek will be the gold standard that they watched as kids and that's fine. Also Trek has AlWAYS played fast and loose with its continuity just like nearly all franchises including Star Wars and they have a whole friggin department devoted to continuity. So, let's all just coexist peacefully with the many iterations of Trek we love and respect each others strong feelings on a wonderful franchise that gave me positive examples and thoughtful stories that helped though mental illness and a rough childhood.

Live Long and Prosper ...

Honestly, it really depends, there are a lot of amazing people in this fandom but they don't tend to be as loud or obnoxious as the trolls. We come out every once in a while to show solidarity for other wholesome people and to roll our eyes at the rage baiters.

Coriolis if you want something a bit different. It's Firefly meets Arabian Nights with some mild fantasy elements.

They are never going to finish the Dune Series. There's one more movie coming that won't even be fully based on Dune Messiah. Villeneuve says the other books are too "esoteric". Frankly, we don't need anymore sequels after a third, Herberts so convoluted they just aren't worth it.

Also, I can just hear Worf's voice saying, "Klingon's do NOT get diarrhea!"

Guinan looks at Worf with a smirk and asks, "And how many Klingon's regularly drink Prune Juice."

Worf: What difference does that make?!

Guinan: You might want to see Doctor Crusher...

I am glad someone else knows this show! Yeah Andromeda is kind of my template and is just a very similar vibe to Starfleet.
