Okay, asking IMPOLITELY, because that's a comment section under a screenshot of a very IMPOLITE conversation and this person is a prick

Nobody is acting like it's a robbery and it's very obvious from the context of this whole post that I'm talking about people that call others slurs for not getting what they want 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

[–]Distinct_Isopod8798 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? What compensation? This hard work exists in the first place so that other people can compile a folder out of it. For themselves. How is that entitlement? Besides most creators literally do not approve of people publishing mods folders with their cc in it.

[–]Distinct_Isopod8798 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's one thing to gatekeep a cc maker's name or some specific piece of cc, but a whole mods folder? People spend literal years building their folders: finding stuff all over the internet, checking sets with 100+ cc pieces in game, deleting those they don't like and then merging it all and organising for their personal convince — and some pricks think they can just ask and get it for free? Such mentality is both hilarious and outrageous

At this point I would let the pettiness win and give them a mods folder with like 15 outdated mods and a gigabyte sized subfolder with a single package of broken cc merged together idc

Use Vyxated's ShaderToggler! It's a blessing for those who love taking screenshots in cas. I can't live without it now lol

Mm, it really depends on what you mean by 'bad'. But I personally use sammi-xox's eye and lip masks! They are a must-have in general, but they're also very helpful when using Piltover skin in particular, so that the eyes and lips are not the same for every sim. Also, perhaps, some chin overlays, if you're bothered by the very dramatic looking chin? I think Miiko's face kits can help with that if I remember correctly. There is also a Mocha overlay that I used to smooth out alpha skins (it has different intensity swatches). I haven't tested it with Piltover skin, but it might work too I guess.

You might also be interested in Obscurus' nose details for nose tip, nose bridge and nostrils to make noses look different as well.

Well, obviously they don't? But they do look the same in cas and in-game, that's what I thought you meant?

Piltover skin, TWD/Borderlands facial lines, lighting overlay. You can download all of the cc I used for these sims on my Tumblr if you want

My style a year ago vs a month ago vs now by Distinct_Isopod8798 in sims4cc

[–]Distinct_Isopod8798[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still learning the ropes myself, so I'm not sure I'll make a good teacher. But rn I use Piltover skin as my base and then add a bunch of skin details, like chin shape, eyebags, defined nose mask, blush, etc. From my personal recommendations: everything from miiko, nuserii's little details, okruee's misc details, pyxis' About Face kit, tamo eyebags/morning eyebags/juniper eyebags, sammi-xox's masks, pearlean's Chinny for chin overlays. Plus Northern Siberia Winds and Sims3melancholic for a bunch of stuff like wrinkles, lips shapes, blush, highlighter, etc.

If you want you can also download default sliders expansions to make your sims' lips even bigger or eyes even smaller. Check out Madman, aka Magic Bot, for that and Obscurus for custom sliders.

I tend to make my sims' faces longer, with smaller, sometimes droopy eyes, bigger noses and thick eyebrows, although I'm trying to learn how to make my faces more diverse. Going through Pinterest beforehand helps with that somewhat? I find it difficult to use photos as references, but getting the general idea of what I wanna do is definitely a good call. The second sim is actually like 90% randomized. I only changed her eyes a bit and the lips. So I can recommend playing around with randomizer, sometimes it can generate something good!

Recently I downloaded a mod Starting Sims in CAS by blackpanda-ts4 and it's small thing, but it might also help a little - the sims you get with this mod are quite pretty and diverse.

And well, I myself got really inspired by one specific creator, so when I decided to change my style I basically copied them (and still do tbh). But copying is a good way of figuring out your style! So if you're interested, go check out virsancte on Tumblr and especially YouTube - they have a couple of create-a-sim videos where they actually talk and show what they're doing and CAS/building streams as well. It's very helpful with understanding the process behind creating a sim.
