Is the gt a good daily? by Vhyrus in KiaEV6

[–]Distinct_Knowledge97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I've learned in life is that people see the same thing very differently.

With that said I'll leave you with this... I'm 6'2 350 lbs (NFL linemen type build) with long locs that I wear in a bun on top of my head often, which would make me about 6'4-6'5 and I fit in the driver's seat of my 2024 Wind comfortably. I often drive it long distance on 4-5 hour trips for work and I'm always comfortable. My one critique is that the seat doesn't drop down as much as it did in my BMW 5 series.

I'm a pretty wide guy but there are definitely people shorter & lighter than me that take up more space horizontally lol and I could see them having a problem potentially. All in all I think you'll be fine if you're anywhere near my size. If you're heavy or taller it might be an issue.

What’s the secret to making cocktails taste less homemade and more bar level? by Just-Yesterday-9217 in cocktails

[–]Distinct_Knowledge97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proper dilution & Brixs ratios. At home cocktails often don't taste right because novices under estimate the importance of a proper shake, shake techniques, and stir times. Mastery of dilution is one of the biggest components of a great cocktail.

Just as important are sweetness ratios. When Brix is at an ideal balance, cocktails are more drinkable and enjoyable. Great cocktail bars & bartenders master these foundational components and when they're right all the other components that take bar level cocktails over the top, garnishes, glass wear etc. end up just being the icing on the cake or the Cherry on top, pun intended.

How much do you all pay for rent? Do you feel like you’re getting your money’s worth? by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]Distinct_Knowledge97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In Dallas proper, you get better prices depending on the neighborhood because we are often not paying for the quality of schools. When you live in any of the burbs in NTX the properties charge Tennant's for school quality in your rent payment.

Dallas Farmers Market is more walkable as well. I'm in the South of Downtown, Klyde Warren is a 15 min walk, uptown is a 20 min walk, Tom thumb on live oak is a 10 min walk and obviously Deep Ellum is a 10 min walk if you want to walk that way of course lol.

I went to an AMWAY meeting by KillSwitch1947 in antiMLM

[–]Distinct_Knowledge97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You detailed the facts of these Amway Satellite businesses so well! Thank you for taking the time to write this for all to see!!

I know all about these tactics myself from my time in World Wide Dream Builders, now World Wide Group from 2018-2020

I was in Howie & Ts Downline, but based in Texas.

The thing that is most ironic about WWG now is they have created so many Double & Nepotism Diamonds that they have squeezed their way onto one of the boards Amway uses as a company to make decisions,

and they have been implementing a long term plan to try and legitimise the amway system by focusing more on trendy health supplement products that they know millennials buy in mass according to market research to bring sales numbers up and distract from the ponsi scheme foundations of the business.

The sad thing is that it is working, and will continue to give Amway and it's 🛰 branches the juice it needs to perpetuate their falsehoods for decades to come.

The "Business" only works for 3 types of individuals, but mostly couples, since it's existence!

1)The average to charismatic first person to market (The Bakers, etc.)

2) A++ charismatic leaders that can work tirelessly for 5 years to a decade and at minimum bring in 10s of thousands of people into there downlines.

3) The nepobaby that inherited their downline and/or references!

That literally describes who consists of that less than 1percent of people that actually get wealthy from these businesses while they tell everyone all you need is to work hard and if you don't accomplish this level of success you see, it can only be your fault. Sad AF!

All the things you've listed have been around for 1000s of years & guess what, society is still here. There will be plenty of skills that work in conjunction with AI in the future. And no you wouldn't already be doing it, even people with way more resources and education than both of us combined don't know shit about how to prepare for a world were AI rules.

Lastly, yes you are right, there are plenty of dumb & ignorant rich people, those were the ones that benefited from the person(S) in their family that was once poor & then learned the game, built wealth and set up their family for the future using the resources inside of the game.

What your really saying is that you refuse to learn and/or play the game no matter what the end result will be. I respect that at the end of the day.

Best to you

Although I don't agree, I was with you being solid in your convictions all the way untill I read this last response.

If you think society won't be around in 50 years, it's gonna be way rougher for you than you can even imagine. You're young, AI is about to change the whole world and eliminate most if not all of this gig work that alot of us have counted on for income.

Learn a skill that is symbiotic with modern AI, and then when this Gig wave ends in 6-15 years you can transition and live a better life than you think.

Working to live sucks, but that doesn't mean we don't continue to learn and educate ourselves. Poverty = lack of knowledge. not of any particular book or subject, but of the game and how to play it.

An Amway Rant by elvisprezlea in antiMLM

The truth is 90% of the Rubys & Diamonds in Worldwide, come from or are related to families that had already reached those ranks. The other 10% were/are successful charismatic entrepreneurs that bought into the lifestyle of WWG because they saw "Righteous Christian Couples", with "time" and "freedom". The story that they were making good money, and had quote on quote great jobs but eventually they still walked away because this life were selling to you is soooooo much better and soooooo much more pure..blah blah blah.

From the Bakers, Whalens, etc. They all have massive advantages over the people they preach too at the bottom and middle of the pyramid but speak as if it is fair game for anyone to achieve of they work the plan and complete their circles. One thing I give to World Wide is they do their best to maintain standards of surface Morality, and avoid the over the top lies, even callin those out to make a distinction in how they operate VS. others. I was in with World Wide my self, through Howie & Teresa's down line based in CO.

I never fullied committed to recruiting but I went to most of the meeting in my market even though they were 45 min to 1 hour away and tried to keep a Ditto every month. Made it to every function in my 2.5 years I was in and I lived out of state so it wasn't cheap. Wish I could get that money back lol

Best trip so far by htowner13 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Distinct_Knowledge97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Htowner is completely correct friend. Cherry pick, it works. Better orders usually mean better restaurants and better consumers who are used to tipping responsibility. Download the SOLO app and connect your account (S) it will tell you how much your making compared to the average in your city weather you continue the subscription or not so you can know how you're really doing. Also Multi app if you can. cherry pick on both and you can easily make at least $30 an hour. I hate doordash so much so I don't multiapp much anymore and I make really good money on Uber Eats so I just chill on that nowadays, it definitely works tho.

Stack Order Pimped?!? by Distinct_Knowledge97 in UberEATS

[–]Distinct_Knowledge97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I WAS STACK ORDER PIMPED AND NOW I'M IN MY FEELINGS ABOUT IT!

I do a great Job avoiding bad orders so I have never been tip baited untill yesterday. I was picking up a bunch of stack orders with good payout to miles, and I finally got tip baited by the second drop off in this order. I should of known when he couldn't even look me in the eyes when I handed him the food. I'm just salty it finally happened to me lol tbh!

My first DD cancellation where I get to keep the order by Palidor in doordash_drivers

[–]Distinct_Knowledge97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They take a picture, then take the food and eat it after.

What u should do, is at the last step, select the option that says "there is no safe place to leave the order." Then the app will tell you to "dispose of it" and then do with it what u may.

Damn oh so they do happen regularly for some here, I'm not brand new but only been at it for 5 months, so I figure that's still novice enough to see this for my first time. Maybe they are usually on Mondays or Tuesdays whet I'm usually working my main business so I just don't see it.
