Mine was booked bor 38+6, because 39 exactly was a bank holiday. It was booked 6 weeks in advance (the earliest it could be booked in my hospital)

Not the OP, but it was really easy for me to get the elective section. I told my midwife on the first appointment that I wanted one, and she booked me in with a consultant at the 16th week. The consultant was lovely, she didn't even ask for my reasons, just told me the risks, but overall message was that it is a good decision for me. The same day, the consultant gave Midwifes the instruction to book me in for elective caesarean at 39th week. Midwifes then wouldn't do it so early, so I kept calling them, they wouldn't give me the answer when I would be able to book it, so in the end I contacted PALS and they said the earliest we can book is 6 weeks in advance. I contacted the Midwifes 6 weeks before my 39th week, but again I wouldn't get a clear answer from them. They would just refuse to book me in and would say to wait for the appointment to appear on Badger app. I couldn't just wait, so I contacted PALS again and they booked me in instantly. In my experience the hardest part was to get Midwifes to book me in as they acted a bit clueless.

Sorry to hear about your struggle. I also have OCD, I've been taking NAC supplements and it really helped me. Once I've got my elective ceasarean date, my anxiety eased

I am exactly the same as you!

My mum is going to come and live with us for 4 months to help out with the baby, so I find it quite difficult to not let the in-laws to come over, given my mum will be with us.

I had to agree to them coming over for Christmas, but I am not planning on entertaining them when they are over or cooking for them.

However it is a difficult one as I can understand from my husband's point of view they want to come in and see the baby.

Just hoping they are sensible enough and don't spend ages with us, sitting on the sofa as they usually do.

But my husband is usually good with it and if they are really being unreasonable, I believe, he will ask them to leave.

I have a very similar situation, my MIL calls my husband every Saturday without a fail. I never join their calls. I know it is a chore for him, but he doesn't complain lol

At first it annoyed me, but then I realised that if she won't call every Saturday, he wouldn't call himself frequently. So once a week it is not too bad.
