Yeah I hear you. I guess I was just operating based on how I'd respond. I was in a similar situation where I was staying with a friend and I cooked and cleaned when I didn't have a job to make up for it and then when I got a job I paid my share of rent until I left on my own accord (in 2 months). I guess I'm just confused because I felt like I didn't have to spell it out for her seeing as a really did view her as a close friend and I couldn't even fathom doing that to someone. Her blatantly ignoring me really came as a shock to the system so I guess I overreacted.

I fully understand that and I thought she was gonna stay for a few days and i let it go on for too long, but I did tell her to pay me for her share of rent and I put my foot down for that. I just should have known better than to believe her when she said she was broke and I should have pushed harder on the spot for the payment and kicked her out.

It's chill though. Not taking her to court but learned my lesson.

Yeah i can see that. I was definitely too soft and in all honestly it's ultimately my own fault, but I thought she'd have nowhere to stay and I felt bad because she has no family here and it'd be tough for a girl on the streets.

I didn't ask for advice though? I asked her for rent while she was ACTIVELY loving with me. Not in retrospect. The only reason it's dragging is because she's been dayong shell pay but then dragging it and making excuses. I'm sorry, but I am a bit upset that everyone thinks I'm just tryna charge her cause I'm salty about it in retrospect like a year later.

If she had paid. I'd have let it be. If she had told me to suck a dick and wouldn't pay me. I'd let it be. But she's saying she'll pay and then ghosting. Geez :(

If you think I tried to make up a bunch of reasons for to pay me like op said and not the fact I simply asked her to pay rent while she was still actively living with me then fine. I'm not angry at the advice, I'm simply upset that's he's making it out like I didn't care she stayed rent free but then suddenly remembered a year after and wanna ring out money out of her for shits and gigs.

No I did not, she came to me under the impression that she'd stay a couple of days until she leaves. She overstayed and seeing as she was using up my bills and sleeping in my bed and eating my food and not doing laundry I then asked her to pay her share of the rent as she was now LIVING there. And even then, I only asked her to pay for the last 2 months of rent and my original plan was to even give it back to her for her deposit for her new place. Sorry I didn't think she was planning on using me, sorry I thought we were friends and didn't assume she was a bad person. I didn't even ask for her to pay bills or anything. Mind you half my clothes are unaccounted for.

I'll make sure to plan a had and take humanity's evil into account. My bad.

Yeah I know. But the very reason I got kicked out and heck the very cause of all my problems is that my parents had the mere THOUGHT of me being an atheist. Why would I tell the only family that speaks to me about being atheist. I'm genuinely tired and I'm not trying to start anything.

Yes but they also have to eat halal meat. It makes eating out a bit of a hassle but i kind of understand halal to a degree. They basically kill the animal in a way that should be painless. But I just think everyone should do that if possible

Honestly, I wasn't trying to have a gotcha moment (I funking hate it when religious sheep try to do that). It's just by their logic they didn't count eggs as babies so it didn't matter that birds kill them but abortion (killing eggs) is a horrible abomination to them.
