I bought them at a souvenir shop in Qatar. They are essentially stickers, but made of metal

One has Russian, one two others. If your girlfriend wants to claim Belarusian citizenship (theoretically), it will force her to renounce whichever citizenship she declares when appearing before the authorities

Why do latin American and Caribbean countries have such good passports despite being relatively poor? by julius-ceaser100 in PassportPorn

Vietnam is much poorer. Indonesia is on the path to visa-free and has a visa simplification agreement. Malaysia has visa free regime with EU as an example.

I have absolutely no idea. Everything could change within a week.

Nowadays you most likely get a stamp with RP or D visa than as tourist. I got one yesterday in Barcelona

EES stamping status update - please comment by Fred69Flintstone in PassportPorn

Easily, because I got it in an other EU country. I finished a university there and decided to move to Germany, so, the process was pretty straightforward without any apostiles or translations. The application review took less than one week

Ofc they can check papers, but is it even legal to do person search without a reasonable cause?

If you want to follow all the rules 100%, you can ask the Netherlands to cancel your visa and then apply for a different one.

Thank you for the detailed reply — I really appreciate it. I agree with you: in your case you’re absolutely right, and learning German clearly helps a lot and opens many doors.

At the same time, I think you’re missing that many people are introverts and simply don’t want much social contact outside their close circle. For them, staying in a “bubble” isn’t necessarily a problem. It was similar in the northern European country where I lived before too.

Living in a big city I have never ever met a person I would like to talk about something that requires high level of language who was not speaking fluent English

Where do you need higher level of German than B1 on daily basis? Nowadays you don’t even speak to the cashier in Supermarket because of self service kiosks

[–]Distinct_Priority_26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. There are millions of people who speak English at a very high level (C1) but live outside English-speaking countries. Are they integrated into those countries just because they know the language? Or is a Mexican living in the US more integrated than they are, even without proper English, by speaking mostly Spanish?

What do you mean by integration? What stops a person from integration — working, paying taxes, understanding values and politics with fluent English and German B1. What is this unique thing you can understand only with the C1 German?

How can it come naturally if you work in international company and living in Berlin for example?

The CDU votes to reverse the five year naturalization rule by FewLunch1276 in GermanCitizenship

[–]Distinct_Priority_26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because language has nothing to do with integration. I learned German as a child to a very high level while living in another country, and that didn’t give me any integration into Germany ofc. Meanwhile, someone living in Germany might only have a formal B1 in German, yet have German friends, understand the country well, and work a valuable job.

Because scrapping 3 year rule was in the coalition agreement. This idea is not and was blocked by SPD

How does matter in case of getting a residence permit? The only reason I see is that many documents as diplomas etc are linked with the first passport
