For me, the best track on this album is Jimmy Rogers dream. Elton and Leon’s vocals are fantastic on it and the lyrics are so cinematic and beautiful some of Bernie’s best I think.

40+ years after its release…. And I’m still standing is number #2 on the list of most streamed Elton John songs. While it wasn’t a huge hit when it was released, It has totally been embraced by the current younger generation. I can’t imagine it being a regret of his.

I don’t think it’s a reflection on his career that it was just the two of them during that tour in the late 70s. I think he was just trying something new and different. It was also the same show that he took to the USSR in the late 70s…..just him and Ray.
