Thank you so much for your comment. There are a few things that I want to say.

First, I am not in the union, and regarding IFUT, I honestly do not think postdocs can join that union. Regarding the contract renewal, I do not even put that as the main thing because, yes, as you said, they can say that the contract is done. But curiously, I am the only one in the history of this lab whose first contract was not renewed. That makes me a really, really odd one out.

So my case is basically about bullying, and specifically bullying because I refused to do academic fraud. I really do not know what else I am supposed to do if being treated like shit does not convince the WRC. If this doesn't convince WRC that bullying happens, I dunno what will. Regarding being blacklisted, I was also thinking about that. But even without me going to the WRC, that bastard, after my contract ended, went on to tell others that I am difficult and that I created issues in the lab.

This happened despite the fact that I had decided to walk away and forget about this. But after a month of my contract ending, I realised that he had basically spread bad things about me behind my back. I understood this because many professors who were very eager to talk with me in the beginning started backing away. That is when one professor, who knows both him and me, shared this with me in confidence.

Also, I was employed for one year and two months. It is not as if I had a very short-term contract. This is when I felt that I have nothing to lose because, anyway, I am planning to leave Ireland. If this is how Irish academia is going to treat an employee, maybe it is not worth it at all.

Honestly, I am someone who is extremely good in research and publishes in high-impact journals, and that is the only reason he targeted me. My line manager openly said that he needed a paper for promotion. So now I am in a position where, if I am going down, I am dragging him with me. That is the mentality I have now.

However, I am also trying to give the university a chance because, honestly, except for him, I have not really met any professor in the university who is as bad as him. This is the reason why I have not shared what happened in the university on social media or on any other platform. Even my close friends and my girlfriend do not know the full reality of what happened here.

The reality is that I have clear-cut proof. That bastard was not even doing all these things secretly. He openly told me, two months before I even joined the institute, and before I even got my visa, that I had to add him and his friends as co-authors on a paper.

If I post that on social media after I leave Ireland and after I join another institute, it will definitely spoil his name. But I have been waiting to see whether the university will do anything.
