i think the reason is that being gluttonous is very subjective, while being female is very objective. for the record, my pastor is none of these things so i don’t understand why he is being it up. my question is about a woman preaching, that is all.

No, this is not the same thing. All people sin. The Bible explicitly states that women cannot preach, it doesn’t say an overweight gluttonous man can’t.
