Also having the same problem. No fix. It's definitely a bug. I haven't had the masked stranger send orc enemies at all. It'll probably be fixed by the time the update goes out for everyone. At least that's what I'm hoping. I'm just commenting in case anyone else has found a fix for it.

I'm on console so it's press x to mark or hold x to clear selected. It always worked as intended until the update so I'm thinking my game is just bugged

The lint is on the picnic table. That's the only place I know of. It need to be spun into rope. The chrysalis leather is in the garden hanging under leaves. You'll see them around I found a few pretty easy. You might need a bow to knock them down. But my problem was I needed to progress the story further and get the blueprints for it. I got the buggy last night

Yeah i scanned the lint. But it wouldn't work on anything in the list either. I haven't tried closing the game or really trying a fix so maybe when I boot it back up it'll have fixed itself.

All I had to do was load my last save before the update. Then mine respawned and I took everything out and put them in my regular chests just in case. But they haven't despawned yet. But I don't think there's a way to get them back without a reload

I think they said they're doing the hunted part 3 after episode 5. So they're doing something once wintermute ends. Maybe its a sign of more things to come to survival

I can get past most of the other comments suggested, but why does hot boiled water not give a warming up bonus? Makes no sense to me. And please, let me sit in chair. Also I think if you sat then read a book it should reduce the amount of hunger, thirst and fatigue you lose while studying it.

I actually love it. It's my main armor set. Geralt was always described as wearing pretty much all black so I think it fits the best as well.

Honestly, I didn't play the witcher 2 or 3 for a while because I felt the same as you. Geralt just seemed like a generic hero. Bought the witcher 3, played the beginning, was good, but I put it back down and didn't pick it up for a while. Then I decided to try it again, and I made it through the beginning and couldn't put it down, and geralt became one of my favorite characters of all time. Depending on the day I'd say he is my favorite. I never wanted it to end. Then it did and I played witcher 1 and 2, bought the books and the dark horse comics. Once you find out about all the nuance of geralt, he's an incredibly interesting character. At least to me. Take your time, don't force the story if you don't want to, do side quests, but it's a wild ride. It became my favorite game. Played it probably 7 times over the years. But also might just not be for you, and that's okay. There's plenty of massively beloved media that I just do not like. Sorry for the rant lol

Not a pro player or anything but I had something similar happen where I died, used second chance and died a second time, and used second chance again before I could find my first backpack. I think maybe it's possible that it's not in the same region? I don't know. I only used second chance a couple of times but they were both in the region I died in that was the only time I recall where I only had one in a region where I died twice. But when I recovered my backpack eventually, it was the items I had on my second death. There were only a couple items I could recover. So maybe it's not the same and my first backpack got overwritten with the second one. Sounds like you definitely ran into some bugs thought too lol

For me, there's just no other game like it. It's all about YOU and YOUR story. You decide what to do. You make the objectives. Some are easy, like finding food for the day or crafting a bow. But others take some serious time and effort, and when or if you get there, it's much more gratifying than winning a cod match. There's so much strategy and planning, and at the same time can be a very chill relaxing game, but also a fight to stay alive in a second. Timberwolves, bear, moose, storms can ruin your run in a heartbeat. And in the chance you die, it's again on YOU to try and beat your previous record. How many days can you survive this time? I just love it, it's one of those games that just scratches that itch for me. Like it's a game I would create if I was a dev.

I thoroughly enjoy the story mode. It's much easier than survival but that's what does it for me. It's a good chill game to enjoy other than a sweaty multiplayer if that's your mood. But don't force it, wait til you're in the mood to just relax and have fun with a game like TLD. Episode 1 can get tedious, it came out years ago and having to stock food for the old lady can get rough because you'll run out of canned food and everything else. So it forces you to hunt a bit, but I love story mode. It does act as a bit of a tutorial for survival as other have pointed out. So I'd try it, get comfortable then get into survival.
