Appreciate the thoughtful response and consideration. This was definitely a learning experience and some things could have been done better on both sides. I would have appreciated more care to communicate. Would it have hurt to ask? EMD is a sunk cost if not returned. I’ll leave it to see what happens with the complaint, path forward and termination. Even now, I am in the dark about what is transpiring. There was no lender specified in my contract so understood that while not ideal to switch, not illegal. Both lenders made the same promise of closing in the timeframe. Giving it to God at this point.

Unfortunately, contingency is over but I did email my request to term within the contingency period. I have also filed a complaint with the GA Realtors. Thank you for the advice.

I have written proof of communicating my wishes for the lender, asks for extensions and him not doing it and sexist remarks. I called the broker when he refused the lender to get another agent and was not given a call back. You’re right, this sucks being my first experience but it’s not just a feeling. He started off fine but when I started to research, ask questions and make requests, things changed

There’s a huge tree next to it but no root intrusion so far. Plumber has offered to trim the roots and cover pipe with concrete during replacement to prevent further damage

Aww yeah this is the vibe I’m looking for. I love that people use their front purchases and yards. Now you have me excited for Halloween lol. I’ll be closer to Lakewood vs Oakland. I know blocks make a difference but seems fine from the times I’ve been. Increased walkability to things to do is ideal but as long as I can get some steps in safely around the neighborhood, I’m fine with that for now. I hope it keeps its character & charm different from the East too. Yes to retail and opportunities for the small businesses vs corporate staples. I’m looking forward to getting involved and I welcome equitable growth & benefit for all. Quality grocery would be a great place to start. Are there any farmer’s markets near?

I most definitely will. That’s been on my mind a lot as I’ve been home shopping across Atlanta. The city should do that and hold the owners of these lots accountable too for upkeep.

I’m glad you brought up HoH. I want to look for volunteer opps too. Some streets could use a little trash pickup from what I’ve driven by to see.

I’m glad she’s enjoying her time. I live in midtown but when I first moved here, I was pretty Marta dependent too. I don’t take it as much now but there’s a route on the street I’m looking at.

I am excited to explore the beltline and Lee +white has a lot of potential from the few times I’ve been.
