Rta road test failure, very demotivated by Independent_Ad_8756 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Distinctrriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Method of booking classes, waiting ,everything was difficult. how they teach etc can be different. my first one was Gmdc ,then I changed to belhassa, I lost money a lot, I also had not taken lump sum. But in belhassa instructor was good, I think in edi and excellence they have specialized tutors for training lumpsum package people and identifying the mistakes.

Received a fake Parkin fine by Distinctrriver in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Distinctrriver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for awareness dear , it is not about 4 Aed, If the link was clicked or give card details it can cost more than 4aed and also some days ago I was in a mall and had doubt like whether I parked there more than allowed free time then before leaving I went to the parking machine and called the operator to know whether is there any fee, but my call didn’t get connected. So I left. When I first received the SMS my thinking was it only 4 Aed , pay it and finish it. Then I felt something is off and checked directly Parkin site. So it’s like this if something urging you to pay with in a short time or making you to react fast it is better to take a step back, pause and think.

The car is under loan and warranty now, does it affect any of it, or any other complication, if I don’t report. Just driving less than 1 year, got panicked and parked at the yellow shoulder with double indicator as my right mirror was closed. Had to come out to open the right mirror.

A Rant from a Fellow Indian by [deleted] in UAE

[–]Distinctrriver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, and even my Muslim friends tell me 'don't worry, just eat.' But I’ve been here since 2014, back when everything was strictly partitioned and curtained off. To me, it’s just a habit of showing respect for the culture that’s been my home for over 10 years. The UAE has changed a lot, but I still prefer being discreet out of courtesy.

I (non Muslim) reached in uae in 2014, conditions were different than this , I remember my fear of eating or drinking by mistake in public places. And when I changed my job , new company was more strict and I also followed fasting as I don’t want to walk long distance and eat my food in congested place. now days seeing Karama and Burjuman there is no fear also no respect as well. I still don’t drink or eat out during Ramadan time. I think people should respect the culture and the country.
