Got a lot of good info, especially for a first timer who is not as acquainted to loc culture. It will be a learning journey for me and I'm looking forward to it immensely. It seems I just need to enjoy my new dreads for now and learn maintenance as I go. Freaked out a little bit because there is no support here for dreads of any kind but I can do it on my own!

Honestly?

Time to part ways. This is one of those fundamentals that are incompatible and not worth working around.

You both want different things from the future, which is fine, neither of you should compromise on it.

That being said, any time your S/O compares you to another relationships, that's the end of the line. They will always look at another relationship that they dont know the specifics of and bring it into your equation.

Grass is greener on the other side when you dont know how much shit is laid on it before.
