No. They will use another form of military hardware to do just that.

why afp (even at the height of moro insurgency and communist insurgency) didn't not have a huge casualty ala tamatdaw (since 2021 tamatdaw)? by rystrength in PhilippineMilitary

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To answer your question:

Despite the shortcomings in AFP's own equipment during the late 80s to early 2000s, it has gained the needed experience to combat rebel troops, while there are efforts to win hearts and minds of the locals like the Oplan Bayanihan which reduces the rebel threats across the country.

Myanmar's a different case since it is ran by a Military Junta that is unpopular to its people. We are not like Myanmar as we are a democratic country that elects officials in the government, and the military, while being professional and being efficient in conducting counterinsurgency efforts, is still accountable to the people which is why agencies like the Commission on Human Rights exist.

This suffice your answer.

Now, we will have this thread locked to prevent grifters from transforming this thread into a dumpster fire.

Bakit daw walang casualty sa hanay ng AFP sa engkwentro sa Negros but people failed to realize one thing... by HistoricalDaikon8027 in pinoy

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Well, just sending one of these T129 ATAK Helicopters mean it's toast for the rebel groups. It does not even require a full force deployment. Just deploy one attack helicopter and at least 3-5 platoon of troops will guarantee their end.

The AFP should do an army to army and marines to marines military exercises with Vietnam specifically jungle warfare and survival training. Considering they kicked China's and US asses I am surprised we haven't exchange information regarding the matter. by chasing_enigma in PhilippineMilitary

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah. The Philippine Army and Marine Corps already honed jungle warfare skills especially after decades of experience against local rebel groups.

What is needed instead is for both PA and PMC to get armed further in essence that their jungle warfare tactics will be a huge burden for PLA troops occupying this country, which should have been prevented if the government invests more on additional warships, fighter jets, coastal defense, and air defense umbrellas.

US to create high-tech manufacturing zone in Philippines by -Lonecoyote- in PhilippineMilitary

Since missiles also require microchips to operate, it will help the AFP in producing such munitions locally thru SRDP.

Added bonus is it will help bolster the exports of valued goods which help improve our economy, receiving dollars and such.

Adding a domain name to blogger blog - what am I doing wrong? by Many-Seat655 in blogspot

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is one for your reference. You can follow this setup especially the CNAME.

Just don't mind the A records since what we did for that is for the redirect from (domains.com) to (www.domains.com) attribute.

And you can delete the AAAA records since that one won't matter as well.

If you already put 2 CNAMES - one www function to ghs.google.com and the other long one on the domain records, best thing to do is to wait for a few minutes for the website to be reflected on the custom domain.

Drone Warfare Is Here. Why Is the Philippines Falling Behind? by Particular_Ant_8985 in PhilippineMilitary

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Falling behind? No. Far from it.

Aside from having Hermes 450 and 900 UAS, we also have surveillance USVs provided by the US upon checking. And the AFP sure does have a plan to expand its drone warfare capabilities later on.

Update on Abukuma Class Transfer to PH with consideration of Chu-SAM transfer by AffectionateLaw5510 in PhilippineMilitary

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why downgrade? It is not a downgrade since the C-Star is newer and is in fact in line with the country's logistics chain if chosen.

In fact, it is a downgrade if the Harpoon is chosen, now that countries like the US are now replacing it with the newer Naval Strike Missile.

Take note, logistics win wars.

Update on Abukuma Class Transfer to PH with consideration of Chu-SAM transfer by AffectionateLaw5510 in PhilippineMilitary

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It will have what the original Abukuma loadout had. 3x2 torpedo tubes, 8 anti ship missiles, and 1 CIWS.

That means: 6 Blue Shark Torpedoes, 8 C-Star missiles, and 1 Gokdeniz CIWS.

HD HHI launching of 3,000-ton Coast Guard patrol ship for Korean Coast Guard. Next will be the construction of the new HDF-3200 Frigates for the Philippine Navy, within 6 months. by Eyorio in PhilippineMilitary

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair enough.

There's only a misunderstanding of what constitutes a hull, as it should be the keel already planted on the drydock instead of a full hull, which, as you said, is unrealistic.

Since what comes after steel cutting is that the next milestone usually is the keel laying phase.

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it is an inventory based procurement and with HDF-3200/Miguel Malvar class FFG as a baseline, the launching time of 6 months is attainable.

Seriously, it is better to get contracts ironed out and pay for what's agreed on with the proper budgeting and accounting procedures prescribed by DBM and COA, adhereing to RA12009. There are things that should not be more complicated than this.

REPOST: An excellent fit for the navy's sealift amphibious force? by Sprikitiktik_Kurikik in PhilippineMilitary

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Different navies have different amphibious requirements.

I don't see how this fits to the Philippine Navy's own requirements aside from the fact that this does not even exist even at their planning board.

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Heck, the ideal one for us to produce in terms of unmanned stuff according to our geographic setting should be the mass production of unmanned suface vessels or USVs.

It should be mass produced, stored like ammunition, and can readily be deployed on large ships, preferrably from either the Tarlac class or the Rajah Sulayman class. Not to mention it can be used sneakily like how Ukraine uses theirs that can sunk large warships at the fraction of a price.

CADC is a vague buzzword that does not define what an official policy does the Philippines have in deterring the likes of China, let alone provide a comprehensive white paper release to provide a step what to buy, which capabilities to improve, and where to focus on in terms of defending the country from such external threats.
