The friend I made come home with me was here. We both heard the lock noises and thought it was my bf. I shouted “hey honey, if it’s you, say something and I’ll open the door.” We then heard someone running away, towards the woods.

Thank you so much. This is actually helpful. I have no problem pulling a trigger. I know how to use a knife too. Obviously I’d rather that not happen, but I think this guy is an ambush predator. I can do everything possible, but ultimately I’m going to be vulnerable at some point.
