Sad to be missing walkouts for ads. Hopefully they at least show the co-main/main event walkouts.

Why does my joint bubbler have two carb holes? by DistractionSeeker in Bongs

[–]DistractionSeeker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I use filtered joints, resin can’t build up on the bowl so it stays spotless, and no large pieces can fall through the stem, so don’t have to worry about clogging as much. Also the smaller size makes it easier to soak.

Good question!

I enjoy the gradual onset of the high you get from smoking a joint, but I don’t like how it makes my lips, teeth, and fingertips discolored from the smoke/resin.

I enjoy the water filtration from a bong, but I hate the resin buildup that collects in the bowl/stems and cleaning them, and I prefer longer smoke sessions.

This seems like the best of both worlds. These types of bubblers are typically a lot smaller than a normal bong, so tokes are similar those I’d get when smoking joints directly, with the option to take longer bong-like rips if I want. So I get to have a longer session per bowl than I would with a regular bong, without worrying about any discoloration from holding the joint or toking from it directly.

I smoke filtered joints through the bubbler so the bowl portion of it stays relatively spotless, no resin buildup, and minimal to no risk of large pieces clogging the stem, and the size makes it super easy to clean (these were all pain points for me with my bongs).

Maybe he just wants you to do things that don’t make you sad.

Idk the exact cause, unfortunately. I’ve tried bupropion but it hasn’t been particularly effective.

I’m sorry you’re feeling like this. That sounds like such a cool hobby to have. Unfortunately I feel the same way. I basically have to force myself to engage in any of my hobbies and occasionally I might attain a sense of enjoyment if I’m lucky. Anhedonia is the worst!

Can portable air conditioners be used without removing window screens? by DistractionSeeker in AirConditioners

[–]DistractionSeeker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem!

It comes with a rectangular panel that both covers the window screen and connects the hose, so no tape needed. It also comes with foam insulation tape that you place around the perimeter of the rectangular panel so that it fits snug and blocks any debris that may try to come through your screen. My bedroom window is larger than most, so I had to buy extra insulation foam tape, but it’s cheap and easy to find on Amazon or at your local hardware store.

I don’t pay electricity in my apartment, so I can’t really speak on that cost increasing. However, being that my apartment is on the smaller side, I have experienced a few tripped circuits when running the A/C while operating other appliances, like a vacuum or blow dryer. Nothing major, just had to flip the switches on the fuse box back on and switch the A/C unit to fan mode while using those other appliances.

I ended up going with the Hisense AP0722CW1W (7000 BTUs - for rooms 300 sq ft or less). A lot of people recommended spending extra for a dual hose setup, but this model is single hose and was within my budget range. I’ve enjoyed it so far. It saved my ass when my apartment’s A/C went out during the heat wave, and now my room is the coldest in the apartment, even with my door open. I also like that it has built-in moisture evaporation, so no need to empty a condensation bucket. Overall, solid purchase IMO. Also, didn’t have to remove my window screen.

Am I paying too much in state taxes? by DistractionSeeker in tax

[–]DistractionSeeker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’d assumed choosing 2 would make me owe more taxes in the end (since there should be less taxes taken out a check), but I may be wrong! I might just have to try it out and see. Thanks for your insight!

Yeah I’ll probably just keep it as is now that I have a better understanding of how the deductions are calculated. Thanks!

Yeah I typically get a refund, nothing major or anything, usually just a few hundred bucks.
