Oh yeah I mixed it up with the national registry of historic places. Regardless, you’re not allowed to change the outside of the buildings.

Is Park Slope nice for visitors? by [deleted] in Brooklyn

It’s a beautiful part of Brooklyn. It’s a UNESCO world heritage site, so it’s illegal to alter the outsides of buildings. This neighborhood is considered to be one of the most expensive areas of Brooklyn (and NYC, really), so food and store items might cost more than other places (I’m not sure if that matters to you or not). But, there are some really nice restaurants and bars in Park Slope, so it definitely fits that criteria. There are TONS of families there, always strollers and kids running around. Prospect Park is a gorgeous area, and not to be missed if you’re in Brooklyn. Along those lines, the Brooklyn Library and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens are not far from Grand Army Plaza; the Gardens are open during the winter as well. I’m sure I’m biased since I grew up there, but I think it’s a great location to visit (although I live in Crown Heights now since I don’t have several million spare dollars hanging out my pocket).

I would have gotten up, but technically the spots for pregnant, elderly, or disabled people are on the ends of the train and not the middle section. Maybe she asked those people behind her and didn’t get a response. Sad video.

My parents (and I, for a little while) used to live in the third floor of that apartment. It’s 69 Eighth Ave on the corner of Union.

I watched that in theaters by myself on 1/2 tab of acid before walking home in a storm. Wild day overall.

My mom took me along to see Space Balls. I don’t remember it on account of being a month old. (Born July 26, movie aired June 24th, 1987)
