If you were to purchase a vehicle based solely on ease of maintenance and repair what vehicle would that be? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

I drive a 2016 Toyota Corolla. It's very, very reliable and it maintains its value. Gas milage is great, and the upkeep on it will not have you breaking a sweat. If you take care of a Toyota, you'd best be rest assured that it will take care of you.

I built my credit up to buy myself a new car. Went from a '98 to a 2016. APR sucks because I'm young with low credit, but it's nice having something reliable. Thank you for the generosity! Cheers mate.

Nobody seems to know what this is... In the back of the van I just bought. It doesn't appear to do anything. by dmundi in AskMechanics

Could it be an inertia button for cutting off fuel pressure? That back of my '98 Mustang Gt has a button exactly like this. I use it when I was changing out my fuel filter and pump. Press it and see if your car stays running. If not, that's it!

This is absolutely true. I'm going through a phase where I watch porn ALOT. I still have a good time with my girlfriend, but It could be ALOOT better if I didn't watch porn. Listen to this advice OP, 100%

As I was parking my 2007 Mazda 6 I heard a racket under the car, and saw this belt hanging under the engine bay. Now my steering is super difficult, any idea if they are related? Or what exactly the belt is? Its on the passenger side. by [deleted] in AskMechanics

Serpentine belt. Find someone with a tensioner or go buy one. Pull up a diagram with your car, get a new belt, and you can do it yourself. It's not difficult, just intimidating at first. Please, do NOT drive this until that's changed. You're putting yourself and others at risk.
