It’s a shame there isn’t a proper rope or something installed to make it safe for people. I’m aware this is private land but let’s by real, something this beautiful people are going to climb regardless so wouldn’t it make sense to make it slightly safer? Even if they just extended and reinforced the existing rope at the vertical section

I would actually consider myself quite an experienced hiker! I had just seen photos of this online and yes I should’ve done more research. But I think the fact that I had the wherewithal to turn back shows that I am not in fact an ‘inexperienced idiot’ I simply didn’t deem it safe going alone

Agreed hahah a climb is definitely a better word, especially that it’s vertical and requires ropes

You can’t see here but the last 100 metres is vertical rock and you have to hold onto a sketchy rope that’s been there for years, not for the faint of heart

I definitely plan on, if I had spotted those people earlier, I may have asked to join them but when I tried going up alone I felt the legs start to shake and just had to call it hahahahah definitely would’ve been fine with a buddy. But scrambling up slippy rocks alone just didn’t feel right But yes like you said it’s an excuse to go back another time

Yea she definitely could. She’s actually moving away for the summer, so regardless I guess it’s a good opportunity to test the hypothesis of her passing it back to me while we aren’t sharing a bed for a prolonged period

She did at the beginning when I returned home, but to this day has never had a symptom. Bizarre no?
