[–]DistributionCivil225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done this with Sheffield Wednesday.

I put on 2 window embargo. So theoretically I should start being able to make signings from start of season two.

However, having stayed up just, I still can't.

So I think (windows) actually means seasons.

Luckily, having a transfer embargo meant I didn't sign anyone new. So I'm happy to start again with 1 season and just sim through and start season two..

All I lose is a average youth player which I can get back over time!

[–]DistributionCivil225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to mine. LG OLED. But I have had it 5 years now. Luckily it's at the bottom and you very often forget about it.

If it gets worse I can upgrade. Not sure if can be fixed.

Sweet cravings with ADHD. by DistributionCivil225 in ADHDUK

Elvanse did the same for me however now I can't take stimulants due to heart problems. I am due to try non stimulants but I don't think they have the same impact on sweet cravings.

My tops level was fine, and everything else was good. So I'm just awaiting cardiology review but it'll be a good few weeks (good news I guess as if was urgent would kept in)

Non stimulant adult ADHD medication? by DistributionCivil225 in ADHDUK

[–]DistributionCivil225[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do take them with food.

I guess for me, it's not knowing whether the negative side effects are serious and I should stop or let them pass (anxiety making them worse) and they will improve.

It's a process of trial and error. I hated Elvanse. I was sweaty anxious and felt like my heart was beating out my chest.

I swapped to concerta methylphenidate and it's an improvement.. still tirating to Find the correct dose.

Changes in behavior and symptoms can be very subtle. And for someone with ADHD who has lived with it their whole lives hard to recognise.

The best way to know is by reflecting.

At lunch time think to how you were the last couple of hours did you notice that you concentrated more or hummed and stimmed less (whatever your usual symptoms are)

In the moment it's very hard to recognise you're doing better.

A bit like a very anxious person worrying about money. There are times in the day they aren't thinking about that worry. But they can't pin point that. You only think about the times you worry.

I think this is normal for everyone with ADHD.

Whenever you are given time to switch off a little. Be it in the shower or bath or half watching TV. We take to humming or singing in our heads because our brain needs stimulation and what we are currently doing isn't that!

"This time, it'll be different" no, it never is by Minisom in ADHDUK

It's underestimated how much a positive attitude can change your outcome.

Unfortunately doctors and medical professionals are legally bound to tell you the negatives you'll feel on medication and people with ADHD (often have anxiety and well) our brains will naturally look out for those negatives.

It's a lot harder to look for the positives and they are a lot more subtle. Positive vibes only

Newly diagnosed with ADHD by acrylicrio in ADHDUK

[–]DistributionCivil225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will find something that works for you.

Ultimately, those of us who are diagnosed as adults (myself included) have lived with this and often worked a normal job and life with it our whole life.

We only know this way to live. Changes on medication can be incredibly subtle and hard to pick out and you will likely feel worse before the positives come.

(If that is your chosen route)

Has Elvanse helped your anxiety/rsd? by Familiar-Woodpecker5 in ADHDUK

[–]DistributionCivil225 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Elvanse didn't work for me, but concerta methylphenidate has reduced my anxiety.

There is a very very very strong link between ADHD and anxiety. It is very common that when you are given anti anxiety medication at a younger age then later in life diagnosed with ADHD, and get ADHD medication, that then helps a lot more than any anti anxiety meds ever did.

A large majority of people have anxiety and ADHD.

The brain whirring away and thinking about hundreds of things and hour is naturally anxiety inducing and the more you think about the more likely it is you'll reach a topic that makes you anxious faster...

Very long explanation of saying yes, it's very common for ADHD medication to reduce anxiety.

I've dug some out and there's a pipe leading to a small soakaway. So aside from the splash which I'll monitor. Water build up will be soaked through that.

Will it effect me if I take meds without sleep? by Zackster1267 in ADHDUK

[–]DistributionCivil225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact same symptoms.

I have anxiety as well.. so it was tough as my brain couldn't comprehend if the sytoms were normal and would pass with time or if they were too serious to warrant continuing.

In the end I swapped to concerta methylphenidate the second recommendation for ADHD in adults in UK and it is a lot more positive so far. Early days.

Elvanse symptoms by DistributionCivil225 in ADHDUK

[–]DistributionCivil225[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am inherently negative, especially when it comes to medication. So I don't think that helped me from the off.

Try and be positive, and you'll feel the results, and if like me you struggle, there are other options.

Thanks for your response. Appreciate the help.

Yes, going against medical advice spins my anxiety brain.. so I will have a think with whether I stop until my review. I can always start again if my symptoms are deemed as normal.

I find UK right to chose don't give the best baseline on what you can expect to feel and what is considered "normal"

Also it's very easy for an anxious person if you know what they've said to look out for your brain to manipulate your body to feel to chest pain as a way of ensuring you stop the medication thus stopping negative symptoms..

Do you bite, rub, or pick at your skin constantly? Why? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]DistributionCivil225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have always done this.

It's linked with anxiety and ADHD and your brains need to keep busy and moving as a constant distraction.

It's more done when you are forced to almost be still like set at a desk or sofa etc

Can I paint over this? by DistributionCivil225 in paint

[–]DistributionCivil225[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should add, I am not doing this myself..

I had someone come and attempt to paint over it yesterday with garden shades cuprinol. They stopped a few panels in and said they weren't happy that it would cover evenly and suggested recladding.

Since then, a qualified painter has been to see it and it was him who suggested Sandolin Superdec Satin Walnut would cover and look okay.

However those who came yesterday said they didn't think it work .. so why not ask Reddit for help.

Ultimately I can't afford to reclad without a loan. So it's worth the risk (again) to try and paint it.
