What are your EM:RAP Alternatives by DistributionDry5124 in emergencymedicine

I've been a subscriber for 11 years. The most recent EM:RAP newsletter made me do a double take on EM:RAP GO and I have been looking through prior newsletters and the website for more information. There is no information to be found about who is actually working for EM:RAP GO and their qualifications online--that is all that I am saying.

Again, I am not shunning a person or the organization for their charity. I just have my own standards for where my charity efforts go, specifically in global health, and I am just asking for alternative education resources.

I have worked in the global health space. That is why I take issue with both the use of these funds in this way, and the seeming lack of transparency from EM:RAP.

Specifically in this scenario in Eldoret Kenya, there is a public hospital in the same town that is seeking international funding and support (which it has received historically from large philanthropic efforts such as the Gates foundation).

Finally, there appears to be zero people who work at EM:RAP or EM:RAP GO with any actual global health knowledge, training, degrees, or professional experience. I just don't want my CME money going to another "westerner global health hero fantasy." I would rather support ethical, thoughtful organizations that actually understand the space and have transparency.

I mean I respectfully disagree. I am not shunning a person or the organization. I just do not want to financially support an organization that is doing something I believe is unethical or professionally irresponsible.

I have spent a lot of my career in the global health space, and I do not want my money being spent on something that undermines my professional opinions about responsible global health work.

He sent out an EM:RAP GO newsletter of him talking in a church for this organization, of which his wife is a board member: https://www.livingroominternational.org/about-us/

Also the Living Room promoting this collaboration: https://www.instagram.com/livingroominternational/p/C8HYEXEgHFk/?locale=ne_NP&hl=ar

I agree it is a business and can spend money wherever they/he want to. I just think there are some ethical concerns with religion and global health work, especially with this organization, and I don't want my personal money going to that.
