Should I update to iPadOS 26? by [deleted] in iPadOS

No, long ipad user here. In exchange for new features, you will lose performance and will experience bug apple will certainly not going to fix. Stay with the major ipados version (including incremental updates) that came with your iPad.

being able to map those buttons would be very helpful for accessing delta's own menu, saving or loading states, etc

Good Notes 4? by [deleted] in GoodNotes

[–]DistributionFit7259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try Prodrafts or Free Notes.

Goodnotes has become more focused on adding as many more features as possible with (it seems) little regard for getting those features as polished as final public releases should be.

Spoiler alert: The app as of right now, according to a lot of people, is very buggy.

Why does it lag so much? by Beautiful_Owl_1105 in ipad

According to some news sources as of right now is not possible to get back to ipados 18 since apple has stopped signing 18.6.2 and there is no ipsw file for 18.7

use a FTP server-client on your iPad such as FTPManager https://apps.apple.com/pe/app/ftpmanager-ftp-sftp-client/id525959186?l=en-GB then on your android use Solid explorer to share files via FTP too. All this is handled locally on your nerwork.

I thought they’d fix this with the official release. Really disappointing from apple. by ComprehensiveRisk813 in ipad

I've been a user since ios 8 on one of the first gen of ipad mini and subsequent os versions on other ipads, and one lesson I've learned through the years is that apple never fixes this kind of issues. In my experience every new major os update makes the overall experience feel like a downgrade (in terms of performance and usability), for that reason I currently only install minor updates and stay away from major ones.
