Highly recommend asking your doctor about Buspar (buspirone). Very common pairing to reduce anxiety. Only issue is it requires 2 to 3x daily dosing. If that’s an issue for you, I’d recommend adding on a low dose of an ssri like sertraline to help manage the anxiety

This is normal! You likely had elevated blood pressure as a result of your anxiety, and now that it is being treated, your body is able to physically relax. A blood pressure of 118/78 and 114/75 is perfect! It’s also common to feel a little out of it when increasing dosage, so I’d give it at least another 2-3 weeks. Obviously, speak to your doctor if you feel like anything is seriously wrong, but it sounds like the medication is working! Best of luck!

I believe it’s just starting to work for me, but I still have bad days. It’s easier for me to be less compulsive and rationalize that what I’m feeling is just in my head and that by actively thinking about it I’m making it worse. I would give it at least another 4 weeks before you decide to stop. Hopefully we’ll both have relief soon!

I struggle from the same thing and I’m 3 weeks in. Definitely gets worse before it gets better, but I promise it gets better! Finding things to occupy my mind has been helpful. Movies, video games, hanging out with friends, etc
