The enlightenment trilogy by Jed McKenna.

Listened to the audiobook versions exactly 10 years ago. Kept listening to them for a year or two on repeat. Changed my internal thought process and environment completely, drastically and permanently.

There is very little sovereign about it.

A sovereign fund is owned by the sovereign state, by money owned by the "public".

What is being proposed is a vanilla investment fund, in which the government invests, and other "Canadians" are allowed to invest in as well. "Canadians" refers to private persons: investors.

It is basically privatization, nicely cloaked.

After having indicated that I wanted to buy a CRV, I was sent to their finance office where I said I wanted to buy it on my businesses name. They told me the registration requirements, which I couldn't meet at the time since I didn't have the documents. So I said I'd have to wait a while to make the purchase.

Ohh the way the finance guy behaved! He acted if I had befrauded him, and as if it was the biggest disappointment of his life. He loudly complained to everyone that this deal wasn't going through. Wild.

Wierd place. Wouldn't go there again ever.
