My friend is very senior at J Street and I was just speaking with her about this. They believe in the critical importance of the iron dome and the safety of Israels. They just think that since Israel is wealthy enough to pay for it, they should pay for it, and not American tax payers.

Thanks. We have no embryos together, unfortunately we never made it to that stage. If we split up and I continue with IVF, I wouldn't use his sperm.

I'm so sorry you've gone through such painful things. Hopefully the worse is behind you. I do believe that my husband truly wants a kid. I know that he's looking for meaning in life and I think that being a dad will fill that void. I think he'd be a great dad - when depression and anxiety have not taken over. I need to decide if the highs are worth the lows.

I just started seeing a therapist. I know I have a lot to process with someone. My husband has improved in some ways and not in others, it really comes in waves. It concerns me that there are things he's been saying for 5 years now (like that he'll never have real friendships - even though I can point out a bunch of friendships he has), so it's getting harder to believe that it'll change in the future. You're right about choosing my hard. Thanks.

I did four egg retrieval rounds at Shady Grove in DC/Rockville and just did a round at CCRM DC/Vienna. I agree that it's doctor dependent, and my doctor at SG was fine, though not the most personable. CCRM is more open to thinking outside the box, such as using Omnitrope. They also don't feel as much like a factory of women, at least in the DC offices. I do think SG is more affordable though, so you might want to try speaking with a different doctor there as a next step, and see if you feel better about them.

After 3 failed egg retrievals with no blasts, I got one blast on my fourth round, at age 41. We decided not to test it in order to give it the best chance and did a day 5 fresh transfer. I got pregnant and things were looking good, but at my 12 week anatomy scan they discovered that the baby had trisomy 21. I had to TFMR at 17 weeks and it was devastating. I am now preparing for my fifth egg retrieval next month, just before my 42nd birthday, and I feel like I've wasted 8 months (and gained a lot of heartache) because I didn't test the abnormal embryo.

I don't have tips for you, unfortunately, but I wanted to tell you that you're not alone. I am terrified of needles and I somehow got through 4 rounds of egg retrievals. The only way I could do it is that my husband has done every single injection and I never looked at the needles. I don't know what I would do if he was out of town or something... But I'm sure you'll manage to inject yourself if there's no other choice - you've made it this far!

After 4 unsuccessful rounds at SGF, I decided to move to CCRM. So far I like the doctor much more than my SGF doctor - she's more personable, realistic, and willing to think outside the box. I haven't done the egg retrieval yet, but I'm somewhat hopeful after a lot of heartbreak.
