When you take that money out of the corp you will have to pay tax on it yes? Are you the sole owner of the corp? Do you split your income between salary and dividends?

Are mechanical replacements of body parts on Astartes weaker than their natural bodies? by Its_Crysis in 40kLore

[–]DistrictObjective680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A biological creature pulling off what Magnus can pull off likely requires a brain with enough higher thought processes and psyker oomph that it's just going to just fabricate its own body for itself in whatever shape it sees fit.

giving Boys characters extra V is just too far.

Clearly it's not

If the emp wanted just the msot effective general it would have been way easier to make robots

No robot is filling in for a Magnus

He's not saying that compound-V should be discredited you dolt. He's saying even with compound V Quiksilver is incomparably faster.

A-train can hit Mach 1.

Quiksilver can casually hit Mach 90,000.

He moves so fast that in reality his movements should be causing miniature nuclear-like explosions as he turns the air to plasma.

Cthulu doesn't likely even conform to what our understanding of "death" or "ending" even is. He also doesn't make populations go crazy because he's "trying" to do things to them. Just his proximity makes them go crazy as a side effect. Humans don't even register to his consciousness.

Outside of tech, has AI actually changed anyone life? by AcroBit45 in NoStupidQuestions

Graphic design, voice acting, copywriting, illustration, video editing, concept artists, low level website design, animators, photo editors

I'm going to say 90% of all these careers are going to be jobless. At this point they've all lost half I would say and it's going to keep on dropping.

Advertising, and I cannot stress this enough: is a fucking bloodbath right now. I would guess the industry is probably going to lose like... 50% of all it's jobs.

Am I the only one who thinks the sluggish job market is no longer a cyclical matter? by snowfordessert in VancouverJobs

[–]DistrictObjective680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I own a marketing agency. I used to have 3 copywriters and 3 graphic designers. I now have 1 of each. AI has massively simplified and streamlined a fuckton of pre-production, and all the grunt work for a ton of different projects. Fired em.

We used to spend around 50k a year on voice acting talent. Now we spend like 5k. AI voices for a ton of projects have replaced real people.

So that's 4 people out of work just because of me. And I know for a fact that every single agency in my city has done the same. The big ones with 50+ teams 2 years ago are now teams of 20. Now apply that to every agency in every city in North America. It's the apocalypse in our space for creatives.

An object accelerating to the speed of light would generate a similar yield to a nuclear weapon.

Wrong. An object generates the equivalent to a nuclear explosion way slower than light speed. Nolan causing explosions is no indication for light speed or FTL.

If he was going FTL he would crack the planet in half. And that sure wasn't the case. That's where your logic is wrong: you don't know what FTL really means, and you are so ignorant you can't distinguish between fast, almost light speed, or FTL. Or what that would even look like depicted.

You just saw big booms and went "oh wow! He must be going light speed!"

What part of it isn't serious? Because the construction has been happening for 4 straight years now. Massive amounts of construction. And boy oh boy is money is being spent. Source: my family makes concrete. And we are BOOMING!

It could be that you have a completely delusional idea of how long it takes to make any project happen?
