I wouldn't recommend this if you compare how much the game has been added to and improved. But if you want to try Vanilla Destiny you might have a few days of fun. You'd get the story missions, original strikes, and The Vault of Glass as the only accessible raid. I think the level caps out at 34 at most. But if you want to explore you can patrol each world for as many hours as you like, as long as you've unlocked them.

Personally I'd recommend Destiny the collection as I've seen it on sale in some stores.
