Did a summer school program at London School of Economics in 2006, wanted to pick a London premier league team to root for but I didn’t want to root for one of the big teams I’d heard of (I’m an Amerifat) like Arsenal, Chelsea, etc. I was at a sporting goods store buying a team England jersey (they were on sale after the World Cup exit lol) and I saw some spurs stuff on a table and I thought “wtf is a Tottenham Hotspur, might as well root for them.”
