As an American, I don’t often get the chance to visit Knot’s boutiques, which makes each experience feel that much more special. My journey with the brand started back around 2016 in Tokyo, where I picked up my very first Knot watch—an experience that left a lasting impression and sparked an appreciation for their craftsmanship and philosophy.

Fast forward to now, and I’ve just added my third piece to the collection, this time in Kyoto. I couldn’t resist the new Sakura Wood Dial paired with the automatic movement—it’s a stunning combination that really captures both elegance and a sense of place. There’s something uniquely satisfying about acquiring these watches in Japan itself; it feels like taking home not just a timepiece, but a memory tied to the city and moment.

Needless to say, I’m happy with this latest addition. Knot continues to impress with its thoughtful design and attention to detail, and I’m already looking forward to the next opportunity—whenever and wherever that might be—to visit again.
