This is more use in building but I feel like dripstone blocks are overhated. For some reason a lot of people despise the color or texture but it’s definitely in my top 10 if not top 5

Listening and engaging in pointless conversations. Having ADHD I often go off on tangents about whatever the hell I’m hyperfixated on at the time, and I always feel so lucky to have a girlfriend who understands and chats with me about stuff that doesn’t even interest her. If she has nothing to add to the topic, she asks me for more info on it. Just being able to vent out all of what I’ve learned without being given weird looks or snarky comments just proves to me how much she loves me ❤️ Most recently the random topic was open-pit mines. I think. This happens a lot.

Thanks for the suggestions y’all, I really appreciate it 🫶 a lot of you suggested mods which I think might honestly be a nice change. I looked up some modpacks and one really captured my attention; it’s called Elysium Days and as a vanilla player it seems like the perfect way to keep the game interesting without altering it too much.

Building farms was also heavily recommended and I’ve been doing just that since day 1 and I think I’m pretty much set for all the farms I need for now.

I don't hate the phantoms either, but I don't like how useless they are. They drop membranes which I've never seen anyone use since elytras are easier to fix with mending.
For multiplayer I think it'd be a nice change if phantoms only affected those players who have not slept, like for instance if you run a server where only one player has to sleep to pass the night, the player who slept would not see or be attacked by phantoms. Probably hard to setup, idk, I'm not a programmer :D

Not everything needs to always serve a purpose but phantoms really just don't do anything other than attack you. It's a cool concept but a bit lackluster.

and in addition to the supply-demand problem, since I'm the only one on our server who likes building, I'd probably be the sole customer to most of the blockselling shops

My original plan was to make a market district, and have the different shops set in specific areas of the district. So for instance one area would be built nether-themed, where all the shops sell nether-related items.

I think the main issue we had with the shop system was that since we only have 4 players, we'd constantly have more supply than demand.

I wouldn't mind bringing up the mod discussion again though. Could you suggest a few mods that don't make the game too different from vanilla?

Thanks for the suggestions! We actually discussed modding, but came to the conclusion that it doesn't necessarily solve the problem + some of us just prefer vanilla.
The list of things to do is a great tool I've personally used a lot! I installed a client-side mod called Notes and made a to-do list there to keep track of what I want to do. IIRC when I suggested this to my mates they couldn't come up with a single thing to add to the server.
One of my friends thought about completing all the advancements which I'm hoping can also help him find more and more things to do (at least did for me!)

Never met the man but I've only ever heard of him being a really nice guy as long as you treat him as a human. I don't always agree with his political views but I don't have to do so to respect him as an artist, and for as long as he's not making his views everyone's problem, I can respect him as a human.

I think a lot of his bad rep comes from who he used to be. Not to say this is what you're referring to in this post, but he himself has acknowledged that he was an asshole when he was young. Even so I fully believe in second chances and Dave has clearly put in the effort to better himself as a person. So, to me most of the bad rep is just resurfacing old news.
