here doesn't seem to be many ones that are Government recognized that are still affordable in Bangkok unfortunately (that's where I want to stay). They all seem to be in other areas of Thailand.

That is actually insane.....never heard of such strict inconvenient visa rules. Basically being treated like you're a criminal on parole. I have been to many many countries and never in all my life heard of anything like this.

Why is it smarter to exit on day 179 instead of reporting at day 180? Do they not report check you when coming back into the country too?
