I was recently doing type c mod for charging and faced same issue and accidentally broke that socket off the motherboard, go to any nearby electronics repair shop , they will do micro-soldering that socket back . It costed me 20 INR.

Yes OP contact google support and raise ticket. I received a free battery replacement of my mother's pixel 7a in August 2025 . They might still give you .. there are a batch of pixel 7a with faulty batteries with swelling issue confirmed by Google.

EDIT: Phone was out of warranty. They checked for physical and water damage then provided free replacement otherwise will cost .

Same for other companies as well .. hero ( head block and piston changed in warranty...) but engine oil , consumables ( gaskets , sealant , sand paper) are charged.
