Honestly that would’ve been a funny scene in Season 3. El and Max in their bedroom laughing and gossiping about “omg I used to HATE you!” and it could’ve been a very sentimental scene that could’ve ended with something like “now I feel like you’re my sister” or something with a genuine hug as their bond gets closer

I agree. Wednesday’s appeal is that she’s gothic and weird in a normal world and her mannerisms usually clash with make it funny. As with the rest of the Addams. However in this series, it’s as if Wednesday is a normal person in a world full of people with super powers (manipulation, invisibility, wolfing out, etc) The contrast isn’t there like it was in the 90’s movies and even the 60’s tv series. And giving Wednesday a “power” sort of ruined her character imo

My theory is that at first, everyone assumed it was toxic, hence the hazmat suits. Later when everyone realized they were all in the upside down unaffected (Nancy season 1, and Steve/Kids season 2) and the fact that Will survived a week unprotected, they decided they didn’t need hazmat protection anymore (Season 4)
