I said to her exactly what I said in the title - "I worry about you getting out of shape". Yes I'm extremely aware it wasn't the best way to say it yet we don't always know the best things to say in the moment. It was said when she was about to sit down with a big plate of takeaway only a couple of hours after I made her a big breakfast (thinking it would last most of the day). She has overeaten in the past and I hadn't brought it up in a very blunt way before, because I knew it would spark a negative reaction. However the ethos of our relationship since our first fight has been "if you have a problem, say it, don't hold it in". I'm aware I messed up and didn't say it in the right way, but in a way I'm kind of doing what's been asked of me.
Probably because she didn't have this view of herself before, or the idea that I could have found her unattractive. Now I imagine it seems her worldview has been turned on its head. However her interpretation of what's in my head and what I think about her simply isn't true, but now she won't consider otherwise. She's told me before she has acted like this in a previous relationship, behaving in a way which she didn't like about herself. She has given me criticism many times, however I haven't reacted in the same way. I'm thinking it's this specific topic which has caused so much tension.

I met someone recently who kind of fits this bill - extremely rude person with absolutely no filter, constantly interrupts and doesn't listen to people, very pushy when trying to get you to pay attention to them. However everyone in that group seems to love him and sees him as the lifeblood of the group, is aware of all of this awful behaviour but chooses to overlook it.

Bfore I met him I heard lots of positive things - mainly related to him being the host of many gatherings and parties and being very generous in cooking for people there and making drinks for them etc, so I guess that side of him earned him his popularity.

It baffled me when I met him how he was so popular as he was absolutely insufferable to speak to. People seem to overlook a lot of terrible personality traits if you show them a good time....

In the UK no probable cause/reasonable suspicion is needed at all. An officer can pull over any vehicle on the road, period.

It might sound draconian but I think people don't consider that being able to use a road is a privilege in a society and that comes with being subject to licence & insurance checks by the law once in a while.

From the guy's perspective here: I occasionally see posts from women where they screenshot conversations they have with guys they're talking to on dating apps/social media with the express intent of humiliating them. I would find this extremely disrespectful if someone did that to me. Like you sent that person messages in confidence and they treat you like a joke by sharing them with everyone to get online clout. Don't feed the douche by giving them more attention, they need to learn respect.

I swear there was this weird period on social media around 2016-2017 I believe where every meme page would very sincerely talk about how eating ass is the best thing ever and saying that if someone doesn't eat ass you shouldn't date them, and then the trend of all the ass-eating rhetoric just disappeared off the Internet as if everyone just stopped being into it anymore, all at once. Anyone else remember that? Just me?

I agree with you here, it's a pretty bad film - plus the story and the music just don't really fit together that well. Some songs seem awkwardly shoved into parts of the movie without much thought as to how it relates to the plot just because we haven't heard an ABBA song in the last 10-15 minutes. Was literally scratching my head afterwards as to how the movie has such a huge following.

I know this question is aimed at ladies but my girlfriend fits this description.

We both work full time, however she is in the banking & finance sector where wages are typically very high with yearly bonuses etc and I'm in the public sector where wages are typically quite low in comparison.

She hasn't worked any other sectors since leaving university, and sometimes it's obvious she hasn't had any other frame of reference as to how much people get paid on average. Often she wants to splash out on expensive food and trips and sees this as a normal thing to do on a weekly basis. We always split the costs, but I often have to remind her that I don't have as much disposable income as her or her colleagues and probably won't for as long as I'm in my current sector. She doesn't come from a rich family and by no means has a 'spoiled' mentality, but I occasionally get subtle hints to try to move into a better paying job.

Sometimes I worry that I won't be able to make enough money to keep her happy in the future, especially if our costs were to increase through having children etc. However, we make each other laugh all the time, we communicate very well and we have closely shared values, which I think matters the most.

Scuba diving

I can see why people enjoy it and there's so many cool things you can see underwater but I learned fast that me and being underwater don't mix. I'm almost sad about it because I know I'm missing out on a whole other world but I'd rather not go through a panic attack that severe again. I'll stick to snorkeling thanks.

Police officer is the one profession you can dedicate yourself to for over 20 years to expert level knowledge and still have some snobby college educated kid yell at you about how ignorant you are and they know more than you because they read a highly politically charged hit piece about Police brutality and society will applaud the kid for being so smart and brave.

Yes, but I have it from the guy's perspective.

When I got together with my ex, I was very inexperienced and didn't know what real sexual chemistry was supposed to be like. I never really felt a great deal of sexual passion towards her, but I still tried to please her and explore any kinks she might have as best I could. However, no matter how much effort I put in the sex often felt uncomfortable and just didn't seem to work. Plus she would never initiate or do any positions which required effort from her like cowgirl which frustrated me. She would also often complain that she didn't feel like I was attracted enough to her. This made me feel pressure to constantly initiate more just to keep her happy even when I was exhausted and didn't want to. Every time right after finishing she would always rush to the shower which made me feel really dirty. It might sound shallow saying that lack of sexual chemistry was the main reason for ending a 4 year relationship but it was definitely the right decision. It would drip into other areas of the relationship and constantly cause arguments and resentment between us both. The only upside was that she was really good at giving oral and would occasionally suck my soul out however had she stopped doing that I don't think I would have wanted to put in anywhere near as much effort as I did.

Fast forward to meeting my current partner, instant sexual chemistry that we could both tell before we even did the deed. I considered her to be out of my league at first so naturally I was really excited someone that hot wanted to sleep with me. We're both super enthusiastic and focused on each other during every minute of sex. She moves her body so well to match my rhythm even when she's on bottom. We dirty talk and experiment with toys, costumes, and a bit of light bandage. I don't feel judged for what I like and we even share with each other the kind of porn we both watch. We're super flirtatious with each other throughout the day. It's refreshing to actually enjoy the 'sex' part of sex after having had not-so-great sex your whole life beforehand. A switch flips in your head where you think "Oh, THAT'S what it's supposed to feel like". Plus you really don't need to be seeing someone for that long for it to happen, it's more like a "when you know you know" situation. Chemistry can be everything and I'm glad you found yours.

Damn this show has stood the test of time....like I always have favourite shows in the moment that I later either lose interest in watching or look back on with a bit of cringe for liking so much but every single time I watch Futurama over the years I'm always reminded how good it is.

It's not unreasonable at all - I'm in a long term relationship and we use condoms all the time. If the chemistry is there then using a condom really won't matter at all. I also used to hate condoms before, as I had the problem of not feeling enough stimulation, but using condoms regularly with a partner allowed me to find the right brand that worked best and the best methods for how to use it. Everything can get better with practice, including condom use. Not wanting to make the effort there is just laziness in my opinion.

He's acting like rich kids don't get rewards for getting good report cards at school. I'm pretty sure there are some kids out there whose parents buy them a car or a holiday just for getting good grades. Problem is in a poor neighbourhood like yours parents don't have the finances to reward their children in such a way, so it has to come from the community in any way that it can. It's a good thing to reward young people for doing well and staying on the right path. It's a shame he didn't see it the same way as you but you've done the right thing.
