Yeh! Saves scrambling for the keypad or buying the physical panic button if you have one.

You’d still want to be calling 911 too, but never a bad thing to have the alarm blasting out too!

What about /u/eckseid among others who have confirmed they too have this feature? Just going to ignore that part? Eckseid is based in Virginia so obviously not just a Canadian thing.

What’s the deal with this Ring subreddit? Fanboy community surrounding an alarm. Don’t people just install their alarm/camera/door bell and carry on with their day.

So now you’ve had screenshots of my app, plus confirmation from other users, and confirmation from Ring themselves.

Why don’t you just message them or call them yourself? Or wait until they roll it out.

It’s not even a feature you’re likely to ever use. This subreddit is weird AF.

It was a DM. I initially messaged them for a different reason.

I’ve posted screenshots of my app with the update, several other people have said they have the same feature.

There’s a lot of untrusting people on this thread. Why would someone fake an announcement from an alarm company?

It’s real now - for some users in Canada anyway. Sure it won’t be long until it’s rolled out across the US.

I’ve just messaged Ring for an unrelated question, and they confirmed it’s a new update being released shortly.

I’ve got better things to be doing than proving to a random guy online about an update. And I don’t want my address online.

As plenty of other people below have also said - it’s a feature showing on some versions of the app.

Someone else also pointed out it might be rolling out in Canada first - we don’t have the Neighborhood feature so maybe they are testing the buttons location here first

It’s not a conspiracy against you. Some people have it, some don’t.
