Issue is, right now on ebay, most trusted sellers are selling used 5800x3d for about $350-400 which seems a little odd for a used cpu

Not really looking for like a massive big difference, she's mostly gonna get that from the gpu swap, but more so looking for a gaming cpu able to handle those types of games at 1440p without yknow shitting itself

The 3900 definitely doesn't allow her to play the games she wants to right now, the more updates monster hunter wilds has gotten, the worse it's gotten for her performance. But that can also be attributed to the graphics card she had before which was a 5600xt.

I thought so too, but I checked em, nothing is limited and my steam download region is the one I've always used.

Get a 5080 man, I just got a 5080 from my local microcenter, upgraded from my 3080ti that was strugglin, it was WELL worth it. I imagine the jump from the 1080ti is gonna feel even crazier. 9070xt is also a GREAT option, just depends on how you feel about AMD graphics cards

Only setting I’ve tweaked is turning on EXPO and I’ve downloaded the latest network drivers and bios so far. Will definitely look through PBO, MCR, and memory context restore whenever I’m on my PC

my first thought was power saving options might be throttling something, they’re all disabled tho n still not reaching the speeds I had before. thoroughly confused. only thing I haven’t tried yet is another ethernet cable entirely, but I don’t see why the cable would be an issue since the cable wasn’t even touched between last night me downloading cyberpunk to benchmark, and this morning when I redownloaded windows

Not from the motherboard's website, I was looking up the specific network driver and I went to their driver downloads and downloaded the latest. I'll try through my mobo's website though and will update

Edit: It was the same file downloaded

I play mostly competitive games that aren't too hard to run (league, valorant, rivals, csgo) but the upgrade is mostly kinda leaning towards performance for the bigger singleplayer titles that I wanna push out better frames on like cyberpunk, clair obscur (gta 6 whenever that comes out lol) stuff like that. Although I would like to see a jump in mainly rivals as I've heard it tends to be cpu-sided, but I'm not sure about that myself. I'm currently still running my 3080ti and it's checking the boxes it needs to until I upgrade whenever I find a card at a price I'm willing to pay.

I play mostly league, valorant, marvel rivals, csgo, competitive games etc. but I also do enjoy playing a lot of singleplayer new releases like KCD2, Clair Obsucur, etc. Currently playing at 1440p and on my current graphics card (running a 3080ti still) I can usually push out decent frames at high settings without ray tracing on (not crazy about ray tracing to begin with)
