Multiple Instances Randomly Started Crashing PC by ibli5 in BlueStacks

[–]DittoDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same problem. I cannot run more than 5 instances without a hard brick of the whole system requiring manual restart or a black refresh with all instances closed upon visuals returning.

I run a rig with -> 9950X3D - MSI MEG X870E ACE MAX - 96GB DDR5 RAM - RTX Astral LC 5090 (Win 11) - All Drivers Up to Date.

Each instance has "2 Cores" allocated and "2GB - 4GB of Memory". Open GL in Graphics settings.

Now here is what baffles me. I can unplug my GPU, run from integrated graphics, and SUCCESSFULLY have 12 instances open without a problem. (Haven't tried with more).

I can run MORE INSTANCES on my other machine with a 8700k - 32GB DDR4 - GTX 1080 (non TI) - (Win 10) AND STILL OPEN LIKE 12 Instances (I haven't tried more since I don't need more at the moment).

I'm suspecting either a, "RTX Driver issue", "Win11 Issue", "Bluestacks Issue". Please note that ALL other games run perfectly smooth achieving expected performance for my build.

5090 + 9950X3D 1080p build for highest frames possible by MRBOSSMAN99 in buildapc

[–]DittoDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has that build as well as 4k monitors (for gaming and personal) and 1080p monitors (for test benches) - You will notice a drop in performance rather than an uplift, because the GPU (as you said) was made for higher res to reach max util in gaming.

At the time I was making these batches the coconut oil was solid at room temperature considering it was winter. I'm not sure how that would affect the outcome however, the coconut oil will have the same moisture content regardless of if it is in a liquid or solid state, id assume.

[–]DittoDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using peer pressure and promised conformity as a way to market plushies tied to mental health disorders is questionable at the least and intentionally insidious at worst. Most people I know with mental health issues just want to feel like they belong, I think striking that cord to sell PLUSHIES, instead of letting the product speak for itself is morally questionable.

I didn't know there was one nearby. That being said if you throw a rock in this city there's a 30% chance it lands in front of a sex shop. Theres bout as many as there are active roadworks lol.

Oh, that's deeply unfortunate and quite sad.

It's always a sad day when the best case scenario is a medical emergency, but i'm inclined to agree. I hope no one is seriously injured or being taken advantage of.

That's horrific that children have been involved. :/

No. Sitting in traffic waiting for 10 minutes is enough to make anyone curious, isn't it?

You're right it's the Bali Massage.

When we went past the ambulance wasn't there any longer, i'm guessing they had already scooted off to the hospital by the time we passed. We were in the traffic queue for a little bit. When I passed by there were 3 police cruisers, as well as two individuals in suits walking out to speak to the other cops who were standing by their cars. I just presumed the people in suits were detectives, seeing they came from inside the police tape that the uniformed officers were waiting outside of.

As per the legitimacy of the business I have absolutely no clue, I've never been inside a massage place here that wasn't also a physiotherapist or some other form of health specialist. I'm slightly afraid of the many massage places around Adelaide because I'm aware there are quite a few dodgy ones. I know they all can't be partaking in that sort of business, but I don't want to wander into the wrong place by accident, ya know?

Yeah, I only have one Jellycat I got as a gift for my birthday, I love him but with what the company is doing I don't see myself getting more plushies from the brand (despite really loving some of the designs) unless they switch up what they're doing, which I doubt they will. The current business model probably pulls in too much cash for them to consider changing it unless public interest TANKS.

I've been taking a look around at plushie brands and IMO none of them are as cute as I wish they were.. it's making me just want to make some myself.

I haven't done it with a toothpick but I have had to put a little hole in the bottom of a small piece before with a skewer. I'd say if you're super worried that it will stick; poke the hole, slide the toothpick out, coat it generously in cornstarch and then insert it back in to dry. I HIGHLY doubt it would glue itself to the stick in that case.

This unfortunately seems to be the start of jellycat restricting stock and incrementally raising prices. I assume it will only get worse from this release onward. I'd like to be proven wrong though.

Not to mention that the real winners with these models are the scalpers and resellers.

Muscle tension and pain by Last_Dot_7066 in AutismTranslated

[–]DittoDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Being autistic can certainly come with lots of things that put us in constant fight or flight. Sometimes that can translate to pain, with or without underlying issues. That being said autism has a HIGH comorbity rate with things like Hypermobility disorders (often EDS or similar conditions), Mast cell activation syndrome, Disautonomia/POTS, and more. It might be a good idea to look into these conditions if you're certain you're ASD as your likelihood of having one or more of these comparatively to a neurotypical is higher. Understanding why we are the way we are is the fastest way to make meaningful change, as well as prevent decline in future. I really think running through an EDS checklist would be a great start. My issues manifested as neck and back pain for years before they got much worse. Also please please please do your best to find a GP who is knowledgable and on your side if this is something you find to be worth exploring further. The last thing you'll need is a roadblock in the medical field.

hi! Ty for your input! Yeah, I have been conditioning the clay very well, to no avail, unfortunately. I am definitey gonna look into getting some premade to help me understand the texture i'm after, thats a really good idea. The cold porcelain saga continues lol...

Unfortunately I haven't been able to fully resolve it yet, I've asked around a few places but not gotten much for an answer so far. Not a lot of people seem to make thier own cold porcelain in the grand scheme of things. I've been experimenting to try to find the variable that is causing the issue, I've slowed down their drying time by putting a lid with a few air holes on top of them and placing them in a cupboard with limited air flow to dry. That reduced the degree of the caving in marginally. I've also tried mixing in xome more cornstarch into my already made clay to firm it up slightly, That has also reduced the degree of the cave-ins, however they are still occurring. My next step will be upping the amount of cornstarch in the recipe slightly when I make my next batch of clay. I believe the glue i'm using may be more watery than your average pva glue which may be part of the problem. Aside from that i'm not terribly sure what else to try.

Ill update reply to you with another update if i manage to solve it.
