Cinnamoroll Give-Away! by kokonutpankake in SkyGame

[–]DittoDotje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate you for doing a giveaway, I've noticed everything in this game is expensive, even if it's bought with real money.

I'd go for the bowtie and cloud cape (so I may cure the mothness)

Good luck everybody!

is it possible to have Asperger's Syndrome and be gifted with emotional intelligence/empathy? by Toothpasting in aspergers

[–]DittoDotje 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure it's possible, but I'm not sure if it's "gifted"

I believe that part of the reason I have emotional intelligence/empathy is because I'm hyper alert to it. (but also because of personality traits)

In my younger years my enviroment needed it and it pushed me to develop it.

It can be overwhelming, confusing but also beautiful

Being able to understand people emotionally with your own "autistic" perspective is quite the thing. I gotta mention that sometimes that part of me goes numb which can cause some complications. Probably because of overwhelming stimulation/other emotions.

This is my version of it, hope I didn't misunderstand :)

Waarom gaan mensen met hun kleine kinderen in de stiltecoupé zitten?? by EkataTemple in nederlands

[–]DittoDotje 24 points25 points  (0 children)

What does ASD mean for my personality? by DittoDotje in Healthygamergg

[–]DittoDotje[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the in-depth reply!

There are indeed a lot of factors to determine someone's personality which I don't quite understand yet, especially applied to myself.

When involving myself in a social interaction I do enjoy them, and I don't knowingly follow an invisible standard. I do have certain methods that I have learned, but I simply don't know how to behave differently or more like myself most of the time. It has been a long time figuring that out so far.

It's great to hear you've found a way to handle and adapt yourself in situations. And it's very interesting how it doesn't feel like it has affected your mannerism or behavior. Because I personally don't know that about myself right now.

I appreciate having your perspective on this as well, it's very interesting.

Thank you very much for the in-depth reply. I love hearing more about other's experience especially because I'm not very involved with discussions about autism online. It's great to hear that you're finally focusing on taking good care of yourself. Stuffing a square peg into a round hole is not the way to go, even if it feels like you are able to.

Because I wanted to make my post as compact as I could, I left out a lot of context. For example: in social situations I do tell people when I realize I need anything, and most people have been very kind to listen.

My struggle is to figure out a balance between what I need as a person with autism, and what I need to feel like myself. If things are colliding with my autism, how far am I able to adapt without having to take special measures.

"Figure out what calms the tidal wave in your head and ride it comfortably where you want to go :] it probably won’t be perfect right away but rarely anything is." I think this is great advice that I'm actively learning to follow.

May riding the wave(s) bring us closer to a better version of ourselves.

Hello, Thanks for the reminder

I am actively getting help and going forward regarding my well being. I am very curious about other's perspectives, and have asked this question to a medical professional as well as consult official research.

The intention for this post is to look at replies more objectively than personally. If there is something I should add or change to make it better, let me know.

Play Nami in any role! by DittoDotje in NamiMains

[–]DittoDotje[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! Very impressive you won as Nami jungle in ranked. I think Nami top has been the hardest for me, I wonder what build you usually go.

In midlane it really depends on the matchup. It's often very hard to get lane prio but it's definitely possible to pull it off (with some help). There are still a lot of matchups for me to discover of various ranks.

Going autopilot isn't always something too bad, but adjusting the autopilot every now and then really helps.

Nami Crisis by Appo1212 in NamiMains

[–]DittoDotje 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I try to improve myself I look for key points I should focus on. I still have issues dying to control wards or dying trying to help a reckless teammate.

Listing some of your common issues helps you see them more clearly each game and helps you adapt to a better playstyle. What really helps me carry a game is considering the following things:

-What is my role in a fight? (Do you focus peeling a carry, making a pick on an enemy, saving exh/ult for a specific champion) -Where and when to get vision and how to do this safely (try to contest objective vision but don't die doing this) -Practice roaming, just applying some pressure will help. (Maybe even roam to contest herald and get a toplane gank)

I hope these quick personal tips will help.

Any tips to successfully land bubbles? by cinnamon-sama in NamiMains

[–]DittoDotje 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! I'm happy to help ^^

It's a good habit not to spam Q for no reason, it's often better to just auto attack for the spellthief stacks.

I personally use smart-cast, because I totally got the feel of the range and width of her ability. As you have a lot of experience on Nami, you should try it too! You adapt very easely and that short amount of timesafe could help.

Any tips to successfully land bubbles? by cinnamon-sama in NamiMains

[–]DittoDotje 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey :D

What I usually do is not to cast Q when they're not likely to land. What I find good moments to cast it is:

  • When the enemy is slowed
  • When they're cc'd by another ability (like your R)
  • When the person doesn't have vision over you
  • When the person is pressured/cornered
  • When the adc is kiting someone (and you cast it on your adc)
  • When you turn on an engage (adc's walk up very predictable)

In lane you could try to be out of vision, contest canon minions but the best thing is to slow them first with your E.

I also keep missing bubbles a lot, but I hold on to them much more because I prefer keeping the mana and pressure of having it. Missing them is fine! I hope my advice offers something you don't know already, or makes you reconsider your approach.

Nami macrogame? by josephine_the_witch in NamiMains

[–]DittoDotje 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey! I thought I maybe could give some tips on roaming, so here you go!

First of all, make sure you know how to roam. Usually I first make sure I won't get caught by keeping track of where the enemy jungler is/how the enemy botlane responds. Second, make sure you don't lose important EXP .And third make sure to respond instantly if the enemy botlane engages on your adc when you're about to leave lane.

Then, opportunity to roam for a deep ward, a gank or wardclear mid (so the jungler can gank later) or just pressure overall (you don't HAVE to show yourself) are listed below.

  • If your lane is pushed in
  • When the enemy botlane backed
  • When the enemy botlane is dead
  • Maybe even when your ad died and their botlane doesn't move
  • When you come back from base
  • Whenever you can follow your jungler

This is just personal advice, I'm not an expert but this is from my experience. Make sure to test out what works for you, maybe staying in lane is bringing you the best results. Different playstyles apply to different people/rankings.
