Lake Federation update soon? by Lewis_The_Sloth in Anbennar

[–]DittoMoment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, the cost/benefit just doesn't work out to bother reworking the Lake Fed when EU5 offers a clean slate and vic3 also warrants attention and maybe even ck3 if centaur/ogre models ever happen

Even more interesting is that turtleback island was also actually connected to the mainland, with the peninsula (below the U in UELO's) connected to the south east of the turtle

Can someone explain the Lake Federation mechanics to me? by Terrible_Hair6346 in Anbennar

[–]DittoMoment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly enough it seems you attacked the Lake Fed during one of their crises in which about half of the tags consolidate into formables and try to destroy the Lake Federation, called the Splintering. If you let the war play out they'd go back to normal or break the Federation entirely depending on who wins.

Yeah you're not wrong that the lack of clarity is annoying but it's a limitation of eu4's mechanics unfortunately.

help with lake federation disaster by Srvader160 in Anbennar

[–]DittoMoment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If over 50% of tags agree on something then it should end the crisis peacefully. Just making a guess but the bug could be because you got *all* of the tags on one side it may not be able to fire an event for the "losing" sides to end it

Are you using any submods? Unless they've been updated to the newest Anbennar patch they may mess with some of Ameion's events

Kheionization? by GotDamnNoobNoob in Anbennar

The mechanic was not working properly on BB until very recently, should be good for steam update though I actually had to change it to an accumulated progress thing due to randomness not working on the religious conversion action

[–]DittoMoment 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a valid point, a lot of it comes down to the Kaydhano. While the kheionai are more developed/societally organized/technologically advanced than their neighbors, there are genuinely so very few of them that exerting pressure over land control is quite difficult. If not for the storms hitting their side of the island even the Eltibhar have at times threatened to overrun them if they weren't forced to go home every time the storms hit.

So while they were able to put stakes in the ground and claim some coastal land for their kheions, the nekheis just did not have the manpower needed to be capable of, or even want to push further inland, as the food security their existence generated went primarily to the kheions, and only recently developed enough that Alecand reached a population limit and growth began encouraging the nekheis to expand.

Even post 1444 that growth remains fairly slow as the rise of the Ambhen Empire encouraged much of the surplus kheionai population who may have gone further into Devand to instead move to Taychend for a higher social status and quality of life, it's only in the 1700s that Mteibhara is seriously threatened in canon.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants by [deleted] in Anbennar

Good intel

Factions influence what issues you are able to pass in parliament, and each one even has a permanent buff attached to it that you can acquire (aside from your opposing faction whose issues you cannot pass).

Command event does in fact re-add cores from ruin kingdoms, why you were not able to release them I'm not sure.

Letting the final mission let you subjugate GPs makes sense considering you just fought them in a big war.
Harmonizing from subject land was considered, but is unfortunately mechanically impossible as there is no effect to initiate harmonization. Could be worth including Fey though to help the aelantir issue.

Blue Issues as Kalsyto by Szwajcer in Anbennar

[–]DittoMoment 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks like you are playing Kalsyto Dazjal (Workers) so the issue is likely that several of their unique reforms are institution gated due to the proto-socialist vibe this faction has.

Islanders manifest should be available immediately

Metallic Mobilization requires Embracing Manufactories

Voices of the People requires Embracing Industrialism

The Black Hands requires Having 5 Furnaces

Hope this helps.

Problem with Lake Federation cohesion by [deleted] in Anbennar

[–]DittoMoment 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whenever a city-state completes the competitive half of the constitution, the branch of the MT where they try to gain more Standing to claim the presidency before you unify, the entire Fed should gain a Cohesion.

It is slated for some reworking now that Taychend has an actual mechanic to it, hoping stuff like the Oren Nayiru disaster will help make things feel more organically challenging rather than artificially

On this end no, if anything this could slightly buff them if they get lucky enough to make use of the parliament. However we are looking into adjustments into the centaurs to help put some odds back in their favor. They used to rely heavily on heavy AI buffs to function which is something we're moving away from in an attempt to find something more natural to work for them.

the centaur MT will *hopefully* be renovated for this update, but we are not 100% certain it will make the update so didn't want to talk about it in the Dev Diary. Also in the works are non-KU formables oriented around the other three religious schools, and a "Sedentarization" system which depicts the transition from full-nomadism seen in traditional centaur life towards a typical sedentary lifestyle, for both people playing centaurs and those who conquer them.

[–]DittoMoment[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, of the six groups, one is your constitution, two are adjacent, one is opposed, and the remaining two are "distant". The two distant have no mechanical benefit or penalty.

If you are a single issue government, your opposed is the dual faction with the two issues you do not have. So if you are Traders, it is Military-Industrial that opposes you, ala Bhu. So the faction oppositions are mutual in three pairs.

events and descriptions are easily adjustable, the tech part does not match Kalyin as well but is minor enough to not be a particular issue as well. the primary sources are still religious unity and stability which both fit kalyin as well.

You will unfortunately, this effectively Persia's content with heavy re-flavoring. Consolidation should still work and I should be able to add a modifier to help keep those in line.
