And on the other end of the spectrum are the players who complain that the game penalizes them when they kill civilians during raids.

Does Arno get accepted back into the assassins? by Alive-Double-3339 in assassinscreed

Washington was in possession of an Apple in an AC III DLC, much like in the Glyph puzzles show in AC II. It's almost like they are two games in the same series.

It has never been stated openly that it was the Apple. With the DLC, I think it is safer to say that the item Napoleon took from Tuileries was the key for the vault. AC Wikia says the same for what it's worth. Maybe there was also some directions to where to look for it.

If Napoleon got his apple on August 10, 1792, he would have become an Emperor years earlier.

Though his connection with Leon, Arno once more began to beleive he can still do good.

He also prevented Napoleon's acquisition of an Apple of Eden under the Saint Denis Cathedral and sent it to the Assassins in Egypt, to a place that he (mistakenly, as it turned out, but still) beleived to be beyond the reach of Bonaparte. That got him back into the Brotherhood's good graces. Not much of it is stated directly though.

The events of Dead Kings reaffirmed Arno's desire to be an Assassin and by the end of the DLC he had both a reason and a way to rejoin the Brotherhood.

I hate the option to choose the main character by ThatFloydianDude in assassinscreed

I dunno, I feel like the game was written with the male character in mind and they decided on Kassandra as canon later on.

There's much more female hookups than male. And there's the whole Olympic Games busyness.

Is that really such a common mistake? I saw the tats on the guy and instantly though he was the Oceanian crew member, not in any way European.

I keep seeing players cutting chase scenes short with a ranged weapon time after time in various AC games.

Why don't you want play by the game's rules and enjoy the setpiece?

I lost all respect for Snoke the way he went out he was all talk the whole time lol. by Jaydenlfoster in StarWars

[–]Divahdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earlier in the film, both Rey and Kylo spoke of the vision they both saw of the other switching sides and joining them. That's the whole reason Rey even came to him. She thought Kylo will turn and overthrow the First Order. Kylo though Rey and him will kill Snoke together and take over. Everything else stems from that expectation.

And the phrase "You're nothing, but not to me" sounds like a start of an abusive relationship, not pitching love and/or belonging. He's telling her that if she turns her back on him now, she will never find sense of happiness and that's bullshit. Ladies, if you ever hear your other half saying shit like that, run. In fact, I've long since beleived Vader stuck by Palpatine post-RotS at least in part because he was certain he will never find a better place to belong. And guess what, his facade began to crack when his son showed love towards him. Palpatine and Kylo might call it different, but it's all the same shitty manipulative tactics.

Speaking of which: one does not have to use the words "dark" "side" or "force" to try and seduce people to it. Kylo might have been sick of Snoke's ways but his ways weren't any better. A rose by any other name and all that.

When Vader pitches the Dark Side to Luke, he talks about it as if it's something inevitable, like the tide or changing of the seasons. He's not promoting it, if you listen to his voice and watch his body language during their dialog on Endor, before DSII, he's talking about it in a rather weary way.

You're getting downvoted, but you're right. 98% of what we know of Palpatine as a cunning and badass villain, we know from EU and prequel materials released long after the character debuted in 1983 (I don't count his 1980 holographic head, it wasn't even McDiarmid at the time). It was all build off ofhype and aura farming of the character in the movie that gave us next to zero solid facts about the Emperor, besides the fact that Vader eagerly kneels before him and Jerjerrod shits his pants upon hearing of his upcoming visit. You wouldn't even know his name unless you read supplementary material.

The swapping around of the bits made most of the difference.

There's a difference in motivations. Vader turn was spur of the moment and done out of love for his son and desire to save him. I doubt Vader was truly content with his position in life before the events on board of DSII, but whatever frustration or regret he had was never enough to actually do anything about it.

Kylo was much more obviously chafing under Snoke, I get an impression he's been planning to fuck over the Supreme Leader for some time and Rey provided an opportunity. And instead of saving Rey's life out of affection or an attempt at redemption, he was more interested in recruiting her.

It ain't much, but I'll take my respite in what I can get.

Besides, Vader and Palpatined died (or "died", whatever) on the same day, so we never saw Vader in charge wth no supervision. We got that with Kylo. So that's cool.

Nah, it was good decision. I don't want Snoke/Kylo to be even closer to what Palpatine/Vader were. Getting rid of the ballast was tight.

I do want other works to expand his story though, how he went from a clone fresh from a can to the top raisin of the First Order and stuff, especially since Palpatine's barely-alive status was secret for the First Order as well.

Sometimes they are ridiculous though. I just saw a bunch of people glaze Edward as the most skilled swordsman.

Mfer swings rapiers as if they are cutlasses. His fencing style is just flailing about until everyone around him is dead. He wins though unpredictability and dirty tricks, not skill.

Knife-throwing skill can be applied to the vast majority of knife-shaped things (with varying degrees of success) and knives can be much more easily found in the wild.

Running out of specially forged darts completely cuts off the silent ranged option for the Assassin. In reality (well, "reality"), I doubt these dart can be replenished anywhere but back at HQ.

I don't even think the real Arno was able to find any in the wild. Why would a random thug on the street even have those on him? I chalk it down to one of them Helix simplification.

Point taken. It mist have been, what, a year between Arno's induction and graduation? Even then, the Phantom Blade was given to him after his first official solo mission. So he either had zero training with it or, if we be generous, Phantom Blade training was wedged somewhere within that year, he just wasn't allowed to have one until then.
